HALLOWEEN COOKIE DAY

Happy Sunday to all. I hope every one had a very blessed weekend. We have been having some hot weather today it was 85 tomorrow it is going to be 84, boo boo..  I was sure that Autumn was here, guess I was wrong. But the leaves here are starting to turn such beautiful colors.   Now for today; my daughter Heather and her son Lyosha, stopped by this afternoon and we made some Halloween cookies. We had flower all over us. But we had a great time, and lots of  cookies too. I did take pictures to share with all of you. Here is my first one.

Now this is the counter all ready to make some yummy sugar cookie  Halloween cookie cutters. Heather had some real cute ones.  She loves to bake and make festive goodies for her family.

Here she is just rolling away, and patting out the dough, the recipe  was my Grandma's  she made the best cookies.  I made some and entered them in our Fair and I placed 2nd. not too bad. I was very excited, I beat lots of other cookie recipe's.

This is the pumpkin cookie cutter that Lisa sent me for the Swap. I just had to show her I used it to make a cute cookie.  It worked out great and looked so cute too.  Oh and yes I do have a photo of it. hehe.

This wild eyed child is my Grand daughter Caileigh, she surprised me with a visit. I heard my door bell and there she was. Her dad was just down the street at a friends house. What a wonderful surprise it was. So she helped us frost the cookies.  Even though she does look kind of weird.

And here is the cookie cutter that Lisa sent me for the Halloween Swap. It came out so great. I frosted this one. And I am going to eat it too. Well I have lots more photos but I will spare you.

OH did I hear a  thank you......  lol    But our day was so fun and full of joy.  We always have had a cookie baking day, we would have a Christmas one every one would bake their favorite cookie and candy, then we would split them up so we all each had some different kinds.  We have the best times on our baking days. My grandkids really get into it. By the time we are all done they have more of the frosting on them then the cookies.  ha ha   Our next baking day is at  Heathers house, we try to take turns. So be on the look out for more cookie photos....   sorry.....  lol

I want to thank all of you for such great ideas for my Halloween fence.  I have a photo of it, I am taking every ones ideas and using them.

I am giving it a white wash just a bit to make it stand out. And that is all I am going to tell you for now. You will have to wait for the next post.   I also want to thank you all for you kind comments and taking the time to visit.   I hope you all have a great week.  Hope you had fun looking.

God Bless;

Hugs;

I had a cookie cutter just like your pumpkin one; it was Tupperware. I sold it on eBay.

It sounds like you had a great day!!! Baking cookies with the family has to be one of the best things. I wonder how long the cookies will last before they are all gone.

I enjoyed all of your photos. I love looking at other people's family pictures. Keep sharing.

take care,
Dawn

Such a sweet family. I had to giggle at the pictures of your granddaughter. She must be such fun to have around.

Your cookies look great. We have a Christmas cookie baking day in our family too and they are some of my favorite memories, especially when my grandmother was alive.
