I have a new baby girl,,,,,, doggie that is…… she is so darn cute.. I have not yet taken photos of her,, but I will be soon so I can show her off too you all…… Her name is Chloe Isabelle…….. I know what you are all thinking,,,,,,, our sweet Shelia from Note Songs has a sweetie named Chloe Dawn…….. kind of barrowed the name,, I love the name and it fits her so well… she is 2months and one wk..old,,,, and very feisty….

Hello dear friends. I hope you are all enjoy the Christmas season…. I have been busy,, but I am still here.. I have been doing some blog hopping and peeking to see what you have all be up to and Wow you have all been busy little elves decorating your beautiful homes for Christmas…. I only have a few photos to share,,,, this time,,, my two grand kids,,, Zach and Madison helping me decorating the tree,,,, they had sooooooo much fun…. I BET YOU ALL THOUGHT I DROPPED OFF THE FACE OF THE BLOG……..

Hello dear friends; I am so sorry for not keeping up with my blogging,,,, or paying you all visits… but I have been so busy I have just not had the time too. I did finally get a job,,, and it is on 2nd shift,, a lot of hrs too. So between my new grandbaby and my job I hardly have time to sit……

I just wanted to drop in to say hello and I do miss you all very much, I hope that this weekend I can make some rounds to visit some of you,,, with fall here I am anxious to see all the fall decorating every one has done….. I was able to get some of mine out,,, a few weeks ago I made the first fire of the season it was so cozy,,,but sadly I had to work that Sat. and could not enjoy it for long…. We went from 80’s to 40’s,,, and lots of rain,,, I have not been able to rake my leaves because of all the rain… I do love this time of year,, it is my favorite time… then spring…. which brings me to my gardening,,,, I have not had the time to do that either,,,, ;( I am gong to move my huge lavender plants to the side of my garage they will have more room and it will looks so pretty there,, they would get more sun too… I have not gotten to my Rose garden yet either,,, I have my trellis ready to put up,,, but work gets in the way,,,,, but I am making my own money and paying my own way,,,, and that feels so wonderful,,it is not the job I had hoped for, but a job is a job and I get paid… So I can buy some pretties once in awhile….hehe

So sweet friends that is about all right now,,, I will try to get to my posting again,,,,, and some decorating photos,,,,, I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful Autumn with all the beautiful colors, and smell’s…………………. take care and God Bless;

ONE HOT & HUMID RAINY DAY;

Hello and good afternoon to all my sweet blog friends. I hope you are having a great week so far… We are still having some hot and very humid days… so working out side is not in the cards for me… and for that reason I bring you this post…. In the above photo is the bifold doors they lead to a soon to become pantry for me… the door next to it is the one that leads to my garage.. I have been wanting to redo this area for quit some time but never got around to it,,,,, until now, so this is the before photo. OK I have lots of before photos, it is still a work in progress.

Since there are a lot of slats I decided to use my grey spray paint primer on it… I did some sanding before I used the spray paint,,wanted to make sure the new paint would stick..

First coat of paint…

So far so good…. I had to put three coats on so the dark stain would not show through.

OK this is with all three coats of my creamy white paint, it is called muslin. from wal mart. as you can see I still have the trim to paint and the garage door will be painted the same color.

Well after I woke up on Sat. I was standing there looking at my work, and I thought Hey why not take the ugly old wall paper down…… at the time I thought it was a good idea…..

Oh this is a dark brown stain color peg shelf… which I will be painting the same white, but she will be going in my dinning room… so this is for a later post. So on with the ripping of the wall paper.

I was so excited when it was coming off really easy……………… buttttttttttt that feeling did not last too long….

as I was peeling, I found out that the backing was not coming off… the one with the glue on it…… Bummer…..

The yellow color is the back of the wall paper… it was not coming off with out a fight…. then when I was able to get a few spots off, the wall behind it was not in good shape,,, and I would have to have tore that off, and put drywall,, which I don’t have the money for… so I decided to leave the nasty yellow backing on,,, As I sat and looked at the mess I made,,,,and I do mean mess.

I am so sorry for the dirty photos,, I hope I have not shocked any of you….. for such a small space I sure made a mess. So while sitting there staring at the mess I knew that I really didn’t want to paint it, or use wall paper again… which would cost money,, and I had to use what I already had here…. so this is what I came up with….. so far. anyway.

I went through all my pretty papers and found some that would go with what I had in mind…..

I be ya’ll know where I am headed here… am I right???

Yup…. I am going to use these for my wall…. I am not sure if I have enough but I am going to go look for some old books and see what they have inside I can use…

So my dear talented lady friends,, what do you think of my idea??? I would so love to hear what you all think,,, please feel free to disagree too, and share some ideas of your own… I welcome all ideas…. as I said this is a on going project,,, I will be taking photos as I go to share my progress….

OH>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. now did you really think I would let you all off the hook and not show off my new grandson. Rylan… this was on Saturday late afternoon, that is my baby boy Dustin holding he brand new nephew,, with his two cuties Zachary and Madison,,, and new Mommy not far away…… oh and Shelby,,, my baby girls dag,, which the call Nanny Shelby.. she is never too far away from her baby brother…. making sure he is safe and sound… she is such a great big sister….

OK I am a happy boy now,, I am fed and have a dry diaper, so I will take my nap now….. good night all.

WELCOME RYLAN MASON,,,,,,,

My daughter finally gave birth to her fist baby on Monday evening. She was amazing, I was so proud of her.. for having her first baby she went really fast… which we were all so happy about…… the delivery was just perfect…. they were a little worried because he had already did his thing before he came out so they had two repertory RN’s from the NICU. there to suck out his lungs,,, but all is well with baby and mommy.

Now I will show you some more photos of my new angle…. oh that is Mana,me with Rylan….

This is the first birth of a grandchild that I was able to witness… it was so amazing to be able to watch the absolute Miracle of birth,,,, How great our Lord is…I will carry that memory with me for the rest of my life. truly a gift from God,,, Rylan was so tiny his clothes were so big,, his little hat kept falling over his little face…. his arms kept coming out of the sleeves… I am so in love with this little man,,,, now you all know that I will be doing a lot of posting about this handsome guy here with tons of photos…lol but I will try to hold back a bit.. so I don’t bore you all….. lol

ON BABY WATCH;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; STILL,,,

Oh my,,,,, the spoon has a Pink ribbon on it,,, and we are having a Boy,,,,, oops,,, any way dear blog friends,,, The reason I have been MIA,,, is that I have been so busy helping my daughter get ready for her first baby…… we have been getting all the bags packed and made a spot in their bedroom for the bassinet… and weeding her garden,, planting flowers….. and then I was helping a girl friend pack her house she is moving into a new one… so I have had every waking moment lending a helping hand where ever needed…..

Today is Heather’s due date,, so it looks like he is not ready to make his grand entrance into the world,,,, her Dr. said if she has not delivered by mid week they will induce her…. I Pray that she won’t have to go through with that…. I can’t wait to show you all the photos I will be taking of my new grandson…… gotta show him off….. forgive me if I have already told you his name,,so just pretend I did not tell you….. if I already have..

They settled on Rylan Mason you pronounce his first name this way… Ryelan….. like the bread…. I do like it. it really fits him…

So needless to say we are all ready to go,,, just waiting on Rylan ….

I have not even had time to get to my projects I am wanting to do… so I can post some photos for you all… I have so enjoyed stopping by all of you,, and all those gorgeous gardens…. and your lovely homes…. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!! EVERYONE

Hello my patriotic friends,,, Wishing you all a wonderful fun July 4th weekend….. I love to see the fireworks, and all the family cook outs,, watching my grandkids with the sparklers..

I can’t believe it is July already,,, and my Daughter is now due any time with the birth of her first… I am so excited, I can’t wait to meet this little guy.. his room is all ready for him… I have been busy with school so I have not been able to do much, to post about,,, but now I am off until the end of the month,, which is great timing so I can spend all my time with my daughter and her son when he decides to show up… I did make a dent in my old veggie garden area,, to make way for my rose garden,, but that is as far as I got… but know I am hoping to get more done… with it so I can show it off.. I have a great plan for my old metal bed frame,, can’t wait to get that done too…..

So have a Happy 4th of July everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I hope the weather is gorgeous where you are at..

BABY SHOWER FUN!!!!!!!!

Good evening; I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful week so far… We are getting some really hot days now,, whewwww,,,,, but as of right now we are getting some pretty good storms…. but it is very humid out, glad I am in side.

I am being a bad blogger, not getting around to visit you all… It seems that with Summer everyone gets so busy with out door things. But I am going to make sure tomorrow night after my classes I will be stopping by to see what you have been up too.

Well last weekend was my Baby Girls baby shower, it was so fun,,,, every one had a great time, and I made way too much Pasta Salad,,,, I ate that all week, so I am not ready to eat that any time soon.lol I did take a few photos,,,,, ok a lot of photos,, but I won’t bore you with them all.. so I will just show off a few.. Ok here we go…

So this is the Mommy of the day,,,, I love her glow,, as of right now she is 81/2 months.. she is doing well,,, still working,, Ok I have to do some bragging on my baby girl,,,,, Heather has worked at her factory job for about 15 yrs,,, she is on her feet 8 to 10 hrs a day, wearing steal toed shoes and long pants with a hard hat and gloves…. now the work she is doing now is not that hard,,, just light work,,, which I am so happy about,,, so with that said,, Heather is a real trooper went to work with morning sickness,, now puffy feet from standing,,, she has not complained one bit… She is starting her leave after July 4th, which is two wks before her due date,, now I want her to take it now, but she said she wants to work as long as she can… The Dr.. said she is doing great and not to worry but you know how us Mommy’s are,,, we worry.. Ok I am done now,,just had to brag some…… thank you.. now more photos..

I really don’t like this photo of me,,, but it is what it is,,, behind me on the wall is a photo of all three of my kids…. I just love it…. the girls are holding a Purple flower in honor of our sweet April….she loved purple..

My granddaughter Madison,, she wanted to get in on the games,,, she is trying to find small safety pins in a bowl of rice,,, you would think it would be easy,, but it is really hard to tell the difference between the pin and rice…..

Madison and my great niece Karly wanted to help hand her the gifts… they did a great job too.

She received two of the same PJ’s from two ladies,,, guess they have the same taste…..

Yeah!!! she pasted the test,,, it was touch in go there for a while,, but she made it…..

Top photo is the finished Quilt I made for Little Guy,,, I was worried about my fabric choices but it all flowed really well.. I was so relieved,,, and the colors are prefect with the Nursery…. hang in there I am almost done,,,,

A few of the gals she works with,, and Jenny…. and the gifts boxes I made for every one as a thank you for coming…. inside was a yummy tea light and a lavender sachet I made with my dried lavender,,, boy my dinning room really smelled great…..

Now the fun part of the party,,,, the cutting of the cake,,,, it was so yummy yum,,,

Oh have any of you watched the new show on Bravo,,,, Millionaire Decorating?????? it is on Tuesday nights,, I am so loving that show,,,, the homes they decorate are gorgeous,,, and the money they spend,,, outrageous,,, what fun would that be spending someone else's money… if you have not seen it,,, you should check it out if you can get it where you are,, you will love it….

Too many projects, and not enough time;

Good evening ladies,,, I hope your Memorial week end was a sunny and full of family fun.. I am so happy that we are having warm and sunny days. We had been getting so much rain, I was going to have a small lake in my back yard,,,, my grass really did some major growing too. Any way, I have so many things that I want to do,, but I just don’t have enough time, or hands. I am on the home stretch with the baby quilt, I did get a few photos to share with you…. The baby shower is coming up soon it is on Sat June 11… and I have tons of things to get done….wheeewwwww with my class at night for three hrs,, it is hard for me to get things done… oh well enough of that nonsense…

I am so behind on my blog again,,,, oops sorry girls,,, I do miss you all so much… so I am going to make time at least twice a week to do some visits to you all.. I can’t wait to see all the gorgeous summer decorating you are all doing… OK on with the quilt photos…

This is the finished top with out the borders on… I was so worried about all the fabrics coming together,,,, and I was so excited to see it just flow together…. wink,,,,

The browns and tans are a perfect match for the Nursery … I can’t wait to see it in there,,,, and don’t you worry I will be taking a lot of photos…. so show you…

Just a few close up shots so you can see the different fabrics… sewing all those 2 1/2 in strips together was not fun…. but it did come out pretty darn good,,, I forgot how many different fabrics I have,,, hmmmm should count them some time…. or maybe you would like to….. sort of like a jar filled with jelly beans and guess how many are in there…..ok got of track,,,, getting back on now…

I had to get a photo of it in the bassinet,,,still with out borders,,, it looks so pretty with it…. the colors are perfect……. yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh….. I am getting better at this ladies….

This is Little Guys bassinet,,,, I have it at my house I am hosting the shower… I can’t wait to see little guy in it….. not much longer,,, she is due July 15 but I think she will go early,, both of my kids were early so maybe she will take after me….

AWWWWWW don’t ya just love this little guy,,, he is so cute……………………………

Here are the three borders for the quilt,,and the binding..

Yeah!!!!!!! the borders are on,,,, not it is laying on my clean kitchen floor,, to start pining it all down…. my back is not going to happy with me later….

I like to use small safety pins, then hold better and I don’t get stuck all the time…..ouch…..

OK now I am ready to do some quilting…… OH NO,,,,, Iam out of white thread,,,, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…. the backing is a soft white flannel….I like to use white you don’t really see it much,, but you can still see the quilting part…. so I will have to run to Wally world and get some white sewing thread….. darn…… so I decided to do sewing on little stuffed pillows filled with my dried lavender,,, mmmmmmm I love the smell of lavender,,,, as a gift for every one for sharing in my Daughters big day… I have little boxes to decorate and and put in a scented tea light and yummy candy in side… does that sound good???

Here is the goodie boxes that I am giving away,,, and the fabric for the pillows… oh and Heathers little boy ribbon pin,,, I am going to make it look a lot better….

I love all these different pink fabrics,,, they are left over from another Quilt… so I did get them sewed before I left for class,,, so I am going to do some stuffing when I get done here…. I will be taking photos to show you all how every thing turned out….

THE BABY NURSERY……

Happy Monday ladies….. I hope your Mothers day weekend was a joyful one..Mine was so wonderful,, after Church my two sweet children too me to lunch then to Home Depot to let me pick out some plants for my yard,,,,,, I just loved it……

Today is a gorgeous day,,, sun is out and the birds are singing….. I hope you are all having the same kind of day……. OK I went to help my baby girl with the nursery…. that is my baby girl in the photo by Little Guys crib…. she is 7months along but only looks about 5. Is she not beautiful or what,,,,,,, but then I am her mom….hehehe any way I took some photos of the babies room to share… but I forgot my camera… I know shame on me ,,, a “blogger” with out her camera,,,, so I had to use my phone. So with that said here is the Nursery…

We found this at Baby’s R Us… the colors are perfect for the room… My son in law Paul did the nursery himself,, he did a wonderful job,,, cleaned painted and put down new carpet as well,,,,,, the walls are a cream color with chocolate brown strips, the room is stunning…. She did not want to do a one theme one, so this style he will grow with… ok enough on with the show.

I just love these,,,, they look like they were painted one, but they are like stickers that you can remove and move around. Love it and the colors are perfect….

I just had to take some photos of the booties,,, they are so adorable….. hehe

The closet,,, with some out fits….. I am so happy to finally see that little boys are getting some really cute things, not just girls….

This is my favorite one,,,, this is the first outfit Heather bought months ago….. from Baby’s R Us.. I love that store….

Changing table the furnisher is a dark cherry,,, again perfect for the room…..

Saturday we found the bedding at,,,,,,,,,,,,, where else… Babies R Us….. hmmmmm starting to see a pattern here……. are you?

Don’t you just love these little bear’s,, so so cute….

I wish I could have taken some wider shots,, so you could see more of the walls,,, so when I can make it over again I will take my camera,,,, they still have a bit more to do, but it is really coming along… It won’t be long and he will be here, July is coming up fast… I am so excited I can’t stand it,,,hehehehe…..

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL MY BLOGGING FRIENDS…..

Good after noon Ladies; I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your weekend…. I have been so busy, that I can’t seem to get to my blog.. I so miss you all, I spent most of the day in my garage doing some much needed cleaning,, we have our Spring clean up tomorrow so I have been taking things to the curb. So I am taking a break and thought of you . I really must find more time to visit you and see what every one is up too. I am getting things ready for my front yard make over, that is really going to take awhile. I will take before photos, and will be sharing my progress,, it will be a slow progress since I am doing it by myself. I have been digging out my garden magazines and books to get some ideas, I do have a theme in mind, I just hope it comes out that way….. I an going for the English garden look.. so wish me luck.

Good Afternoon Friends.

Well it seems that I am behind on my blog visits shame on me….. My days are busy these days,, and my evening are spent going to classes for three hrs….for 4 nights a week… never thought I would love to go back to School, but I do… I find it is easier learning now then it was when I was younger..oh and I can even remember it all too,,

The weather here is getting warmer but we have been getting lots of rain, so my yard work has been put on hold… I do have some bulbs popping up and my Weeping Pea Tree is going to flower soon,,, I can’t wait to see it.. When it is in full bloom it looks like white cotton on the limbs…. This year I am going to put all my energy in my front yard,, it needs a lot of help… So I will be digging and hauling bags of dirt,,,, and hopefully plant some gorgeous plants…. and pray they live….*wink* And since I don’t’ have the time like I used to have, my veggie garden is going to be my Rose garden, I have always wanted one and it is the perfect spot to put it. OH and my pool is going to have to taken down, booooo it decided to split and collapse on one side,, well it is more saggy then collapsed,,, but it does have to come down most of the water is out, so my Son and some of his friends from work are going to take it all down for me…..hopefully by May 7th which is our clean up week, and they will haul it away for me for free,,,,,, pretty cool….

So now that my pool has to be gone my deck has to taken down, it is really not useful with out the pool, so my Daughter suggested I put a fire pit there with some seating,, so that is what I am going to do… So many things and so little time,and money to get them done….. so just going to take one project at a time… and move on to the next….

My Daughter is almost 7months now, but she only looks like 5 months… she is doing great. I am in the planning stages of her baby shower, we have be going to some stores to register that is so fun….. They are working on the nursery painting it and new carpet,,, I will make I take photos to share with you,,,, still sewing on the baby quilt,, I will be showing you all the progress soon, it is turning out pretty cute…. and all the colors match the babies room….

Princess's On Ice……. loved it……

Good evening all; I hope you are all enjoying your week. We are finally getting some warmer days…. Yeah!!!!! Well so much for me getting my post’s on my blog more often….. I have been busy, I am going to class at night to brush up on a few things….. so that keeps me busy in the evenings. And during the day I am just puttering around,,, sewing the baby quilt for my daughter’s little bundle of joy,,,,,, she is doing great and Little Guy is really kicking up a storm…. she is loving every minute of it….. and I am too…..wink……

I have also started knitting a blanket too,, three colors, light blue, soft yellow, and off white,, it is looking so pretty…. not a fancy knitter but it does not fall apart….. so that is good….lol; I still have not been able to do much by the way of decorating my home,,, Yet! but I will be getting into it soon….

Ok a few weeks ago my daughter Heather and I took our Princess Madison, (my granddaughter) to see Princess’s on Ice…. I have never ever been to any thing like this before. so needless to say I was just as excited as Madison was….

Queen Mamaw and Princess Madison…. we dressed her like Cinderella who she adores…… she had pink sparkly shoes…. and pink gloves with white fur… but she took off the gloves.. I have never seen so many little Cinderella’s before,,,,, and with a few other Princess’s here and there,,,, but the most popular was Cinderella… of course. ok ok more photos,,, I did my best to get some good ones from where we were….

Oh look Aladdin with the genie…. I was so amazed at how great the skated with all the costumes they had to ware….. the special effects were so wonderful…

Ok back on track…… when Aladdin came out on his elephant,,,, it was nuts….. not sure how they did it, but the elephant was on skates and doing a darn good job…

Remember Me??????

Good afternoon; Yes dear friends it is me,,,,,, the missing Cottage Rose... I have missed you all so much this past few months, so I hope some of you still remember me...lol;

With out being a downer post I will keep this short,,, (I hope),,,, Many changes have been made in my life,,,, staring with last summer. I am now a single woman again,, or what the new name is a displaced housewife,,,,, don't like that one much,,, makes me sound like I was lost... any way needless to say it has been a long and ruff journey for me... but with the help of the Lord who is so amazing and his perfect timing as well as loving family, and friends, things are looking up..... yeah! I am back in my home town which is a wonderful thing,, except for all the nasty cold and snowy days, it is nice to be home again.

During a most difficult day last year,,, the Lord with His perfect timing of course,,, I found out in a most touching way that my oldest daughter is having her first baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been waiting for so so long for that day, that I never thought it would happen.... last Monday we found out she is having a boy,,, they wanted a girl since they have two boys already,,, but he will be so loved , she is due in July but I think he will show up early,, from all the movement he was doing in the ultrasound he is going to be a real stinker... all is perfect with him Praise the Lord..

Well this did go where I wanted it to go,,,,,, I guess I have to learn my how to's all over again..... but this is his first photo,,,, he is facing down,, this is at two months..... is he handsome or what.......

So I am going to busy sewing up his quilt, planning a Huge baby shower for them....

Now I am still with out a job and looking for one is not as easy as it used to be,,, I am not with out skills,, jobs are just hard to find,,, but I have faith in the Lord and he will bring me the one that is perfect for me.

Now I have to do a lot of catching up with all of you,,, and see what everyone is up too,,,,I have not done much in the way of decorating yet... but with spring starting to sprout finally I am in the mood to redo my family room,,, paint it a lighter color..... and helping my daughter fix up the nursery.... that will be such fun.... will make sure I post photos to share with you all..... next Sat. we are having a baby day of shopping,,,,, can't wait......

Gosh I feel like I have to get to know you all again,,,, and you me,,,,,, but when you think about it,, I am a new Woman..... I really look forward to hearing from you all,,, and look for me in your comments because I will be there......So until next time God Bless;

MY JOY HAS LEFT ME;

Hello my sweet dear blog family…. I am in much need of all your Prayers,, and I must take a break from my sweet blog.. My Heart and Joy for blogging is gone for now… But with the help of a wonderful Lady and Our Lord it will return again,,, I am working on that… I can’t share with you the reason’s why just yet,, just know that I will miss you all to very much.. You have become like Family to me,, and the joy and sprite each of your bring into my life when I visit and read your words… have helped my in more ways then each of you will ever now,, and for that I Praise the Lord for bringing you all in to m life… Saying Thank You; just dose not seem enough to express how I grateful I am.

I will how ever be stopping by and paying a visit to each and every one of you from time to time,,, I can’t cut myself completely from you all….. so this will be my last post for awhile,,,,, until my Joy has returned.

LET’S GO FOR A WALK;

Hey there dear friends; How was your weekend? sure hope some of you are enjoying some cooler days,,, we are in the 90’s again all week….. with little rain… this summer sure has been a HOT! one,,,not just here but all over…. so needless to say I have not be out side much,, only in the early morning or late evening,,,,, I have been doing my weeding and putting down some mulch….. that is about it…. whewwwwwwwwwwww…..

But I did finally take my walk around town last week,,, and took some pictures to share with you….. my home town is not a big town at all but over the yrs has grown.. there was a time when every one new every one….that was nice…. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh my how fast things change…. but I still love our little town….

In the Summer time is when I love it best,, with so many beautiful flowers and plants around the Court Square, and planters around the town filled with gorgeous plants….. the Ladies of the Garden Club really out do them selves each year…. they put in so much love and time making our Town so pretty…. Ok enough of all my talking ,,, I will show you some photos now,,, I will have to do this in two parts,,, too many photos to show you,,, all at once,,,,, and this way I will get ya’ll to come back again……lol I know I am a stinker……………

This is the top of the Court House,,, this clock always reminds me of Back to the Future movie,,,,,, I just love the carved detail of the stone work… it is just beautiful… hmmmm I should have went inside to get some photos…. guess I will save it for next time….

I love all the beautiful color around the building,,,, it is a great area to just sit and watch every thing…

I remember these Loins from when I was a little,, they painted them white,, but they just used to be grey stone… there are two one each side of a big cannon which I will show you now.

And here is the other Loin,,,,,, some where there is a photo of my baby brother Sam sitting on one,,,,, he was so little they looked huge…lol

I am sorry to say that I really don’t know how old this cannon is,,,, I just know that it has always been here,,,, I will have to do some checking on this,,shame on me for not knowing that……

FOUND NEW CUTE TABEL,,,AND FEELING BAD AT THE SAME TIME…..

Good afternoon ladies…… I hope you all had a wonderful weekend…. we are going back some very HOT days again.,, (boo) but Saturday we did have some nice rain with a bit of thunder,,,, in the morning,, so I lite some candles and put on my Birds of song cd… it was so wonderful to sit and listen to the rain and my CD. an read my book….. I spent the most part of the day that way,,,,,,, I know shame on me,, I should have been doing something productive,,, but I just did not feel like it…… not because of being lazy,,, but because I am coming down with a very nasty Chest cough,,, it is really tight in my chest….

A few days ago while out looking through our local Salvation Army store,, I found this really cute small table….. here I will show you..

Squealllllllllllllllllllllllll is she not the sweetest little thing,,,, and she even has two,,, not one but TWO Magazine holders….. wow… boy picked up right up and carried her all over the shop,, while still looking….lol she was only 20.00 I did not think that was too bad,, she was in such great shape,,, I also found two books as well… I will show them to you later on…..

I just love this sweet charming table,, but not the color.. .so off to the paint area in Walley world,, I went,, and found a pretty off white color called Muslin.. but since I have not been feeling too great, I put off doing anything with her….. so this morning I started to paint her,,,,, but I will save those for when I have her all done and spiffed up……. she will fit just wonderfully beside my wing chair,,,, the one in the photo,,, and set a few favorite Magazines in it…. and a small lamp and some pretties which I have no idea yet,, but never fear,, I will soon…..

Now this is not too fancy but this is my little side tea table….hehehehe I had to stop and make me a nice hot cup of Darjeeling Tea to help with my cough,,, and wait for the paint to dry,,, so I can add a second coat…..

I love to have Honey with my Tea but sadly I was out so I had to use my Splenda…. guess I had better get to the store later and buy some….. with the honey in it,, it makes me feel so much better… I love to drink Tea when I feel bad.. it so helps,,,,,

Well sweet and dear friends of mine,, I hope you enjoyed my little post today…. I still have not been up town to take those Pictures of our pretty court square… but I will so don’t worry,,, I so want to show off my home town to you all,,, and Summer is the perfect time of year to show it off…..

HELLO THERE!

Good evening; I just thought I would pop in and let you all know that I am still around…. Seems like Summer is just a busy time,,, doing yard work,,,, cook outs, picnics,,,Vacation’s,, Minnie Vacations,,, and just so much more…. that blogging time takes a back seat at times,, so my reason for being MIA…… I hope to get back to blogging on a more regular base’s soon.. I have been wanting to take a walk around our small town and take some photos to share with you all… Auburn is so beautiful in the Summer,, the Court Square is just amazing with so many lovely flowers planted,, and a small garden square with a water fall and seating,, and beautiful flowers… and each year they show case some type of Art around the town.. this year it is Statue’s around the town,, and they are amazing.. they have them set up all over town and at one end they have a very HUGE couple dancing in Victorian clothing,,,,, and they are HUGE; lol

But with the weather being so darn hot hot hot,,, I have not been able to get out and do that… so I am Praying that this weekend it will cool a bit and I can get up there to do that….. I am not sure how long I will be here in my home town,,, so I had better hurry….. We did get some much needed rain this evening,, it was a nice hard rain so my few plants were very happy….. oh and all those weeds were singing too…… I hope you are all having a wonderful week, and the weather is pleasant for you where you live…… So that is it for now,,, I hope to be back with some lovely home town photos….

HEY I FOUND MY YARD!!!!

Hello there,, I hope all of you are having a wonderful week so far…. it has been so hot here,,,, and because of that it is keeping me from yard work,,, but the on the other hand I have been spending the days at my Sister’s house laying in her pool….. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh the water is so great…… any way I have done a lot of weeding and ,,,,,,,,, surprise surprise,, I found my yard again.. yeah!!! I still have some nasty weeds that I have to take care of but they can wait……. the pool calls…lol

As I posted about a few days ago my three grand daughters are in Cheer Leading,, and I went to watch them practice and just had to take some photos,,, now some are not too clear,, but a few are.. so I hope you can see them…. My daughter Heather is a coach to the youngest ones,,, and she is so loving it,, not to mention she is a really good one…. so on to the photos…

Now this little one is my youngest,, Madison Lee,,, this is her first year,, and she is some what shy,,, but she loves her pom poms….lol

And this little cutie pie is Regan,,,,, she just loves cheering,, I think she is the loudest one,,,, I call her my little Monkey because she love’s to climb on any thing,, which gives me a heart attack….lol Heather is in the back ground wearing a red shirt…. with little Maddy to her right…. this is a Potty break that is what they are all running…… lol

You see the little one all in red,,,,,,,, well that is my little Munchkin Liberty,,, she just turned 8,,my how time flies….. she is in the Pom squad this year and boy can she dance… that girl has talent,,,,,, just like me…hehe so now that you have seen them,,, I will show a few photos that are of most of all the girls,, it is a huge squad, My nice Jenny started it up a few yrs ago,, and it has taken off… she has different age groups and they are all so amazing….. they are called the Junior Patriot's… the JV squad has won awards all ready. oops! am I bragging,,, sorry,,,,, can’t help it….

LOOK AT WHAT I MADE,,,, WITH MY OWN LITTLE HANDS………………………

Good evening dear friends; I hope you are enjoying a wonderful Thursday. Here in Indiana it has been very warm,,, and humid in the mid 90’s I thought I left that back in N.C. guess I packed it by mistake….lol; We did have a nice thunderstorm this afternoon,,,, I was out trimming the front yard trees,,, listening to the thunder roll in,,,,, loved it,,then the wind picked up and that was even better…. I did get my three trees trimmed done before the lighten paid a visit. So I decided to sit on our covered patio and watch the rain fall and the thunder roll…. loved it… Ok that was my day,,,, so let’s go back in the future a bit and see what I was working on shall we*********** so please step in side the way back machine,,,,,,,,,,,,,, please keep your arms and legs in at all times,,,, we would not want to leave any thing behind,,,,,,lol OK here goooooooooooo

I bought this white Styrofoam ball a rather large one,,, and was not sure what I was going to do with it,,,,, until I found a huge bag of shells at where else Marshalls,,,, all through blog land and in magazines I have seen these shell balls,, and I thought to myself,,,,,, self,,, you can do this… So I gathered all my goodies together and got out my glue gun and started gluing,,,, oh and yes I did burn my little fingers,,,, but that is the price one pays for creativity…… Am I right girls******* so in the photo above is the start of it all. I set it on a flower bowl to keep it still,,,,,,

I went and brought out my boxes of pretties to put in here and there for a little different look,,, can you see my little silver bell……. jingle,,, jingle……. hehehe

And this is the finished project……. now when I started this I did not realize just how big this ball was,,,,, until I finished gluing all the shells and things on……. wow it is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is like when you get a fresh Christmas tree from a tree farm,, and you say boy it looks kind of small,,,,,,,, thennnnnnnnnnnn you take it home an it explodes all over your living room……. well that is my shell ball….. I have it sitting in a med. sized flower pot… but I think it turned out pretty…. and it did not cost me a large kidney.hehehe I see them for sale an some do cost a lot….. I plan on making some babies for it soon….

OK on the next thing I made,,,,,,,, that is right girls,,, I was being very creative,,, I know it is a shocker so close up you mouths now……. and lets get on with the rest of my story___________________________

Now I have also seem these sweet pretty tea cup pin cushions all over as well,,, so I said to myself,,,,,, self you can do this too,,,,, so I found a lonely tea cup and told her I was going to make her look so beautiful,, she was so excited,,,,, she felt so sad that she was the only one with out a saucer,,,,, I told her not to worry,, that when I was done,,, they would all be green with envoy…..

I made the pins that are in it,,, with left over pearl and blings,,,,,, and I used a small round off white doily on top,,,,, andddddddddddddddddddd yessssssssssssss I made the yellow rose flower,,,,,,,,, yeahhhhhhhhh I was so excited when I finally got it to look like one,,, ya’ll make it look so easy,,, but with my fingers it is any thing but easy,,,, I am proud of me,,,,,, hehehe

I had some left over wire Pink wire ribbon and some pink and blue ribbon,,, made some bows for the back so she would look beautiful from any why you look at her.. If you look close you can see a black and rhinestone pretty I glued on top of the first bow,,,,, just a little somin somin,,,,,,

I also had some light peach braded trim I glued around the inside of the cup before I put in the Pink stuffed fabric…. I think she turned out really Pretty for my first time….. Whatch think?????????? how’d I do….

Well that is it now,,, so ladies we are heading back in the way back machine to head back to Indiana,,,, so please as before keep your hands and legs in at all times,, so all of you make it back….. I am not responsible for body parts left behind…… ewwwwww that sounded nasty,,, didn’t it….. sorry……

HELLO FELLOW BLOGGERS; I AM STILL AROUND;

Sorry for being a bad blogger,,, but sometimes live and summer just gets in the way of blogging….. I am back in Indiana for a little vacation,,, getting some family time,, while my DH is holding down the fort back home in N.C. not sure how long I will be here,,, but I do have so much to keep my busy,,,,, our Son rents the house from us,,, but he really needs to learn how to pull weeds,,, he is good at keeping the yard mowed,,, but the weeds…… WOW WEEEEEEEEEE!!! they took over… I was so not happy when we pulled in to our drive way…. it is going to take me forever to get it all back to where I had it in the earl Spring…. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh boys,,, what can ya do with’em…. beat him with a stick!!! ( ok maybe not that)… but I could….lol

I have been doing a little bit each day,,, it is pretty hot and humid back here too,, so I don’t stay out side too much… Our grandbabies are getting so big,, I can’t believe how fast they are growing…. and four of our grand girls are in cheer leading,,, they are so darn cute,,, oh and one is in the Pom Pom Squad,, they are so loving it.. I was able to go to one of the practice's they are all so good,,,, well except for our youngest Maddy,,,, she is still shy and does not do much but she is fun and cute to watch……. I took some photos and will get them on here for you all to see,

A few weeks ago I was having a awful time with my computer,,,, I could not do any posts at all,, it was driving me nuts,,, so that is one of the other reasons I have not posted,,,,,, darn thing…. but finally Hubby got me all fixed up…. yeah….. he is so darn handy to have around. I do have a few photos to show you all,,, they are of our home back in Charlotte. I went shopping at Marshalls, and found some really get pretties for the dinning area…. so here they are..

I found these napkins and fell in love with them,, I love love the colors,,,, I like to put two different ones together,,,,, the colors are so yummy…….

Such pretty detail on the edge of the off white ones,,,,. don’t love it………………………………..

Then I spied these little lovelies…. off white oval place mats,,, the quilting is do amazing,,,, I only bought two,,,,,, I don’t know why I only bought two,,,,,, but I have to go and get two more,,,,, hope they have them…..

Wish I could quilt like that,,, so tiny and what a pretty pattern….

OH my My Beautiful round table cloth,,,,, OH this I was just so in love with,,,, I went nuts in that store,,,,,, I almost hyperventilated right then and there,,,, poor honey,, good thing he had a paper bag with him…..

I then spied this little pretty,,,,,, it is a cut work square table cloth,,, in off white,,, oh be still my Heart…….. this is just perfect for my round end table,,,, oh I can’t wait to get it on the table…… she will be just so beautiful…… ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

OH just take a look at the sweet little corners with all the pretty cut work…. ooooooooooooooooooooooo I am just so excited……. can you tell?????????

OK here is our little dinning area,,, how pretty and cozy it is….. and the new cloth colors match my salt and pepper shakers I won in a give away….. and the bird cadge…….

OH look!!!! they were meant for each other,,,,,,,, just amazing……

Since I did not have any napkin rings,, I had some seam binding,,,, so I used it and made tiny little bows to hold them together… I think it looks pretty good,,, don’t ya think…… use what ya do have…… that is what I say……………….. OH you too………………..

They look to pretty too use,,,,, hehehehehe.. I just love how it all turned out… I love love that store,, I could go nuts in there…… I really could…. OK I already did,,,, good thing Hubby was there to keep and eye on me and stuff that bag over my mouth when I needed it….lol

And last but not least,,,,,,, my round table,, with her new table cloth… how pretty she looks…… she was so happy to have a new dress…… it had been a while since she had one…. poor thing……

It is just the perfect size for her too,,,,, you should see her twirl…. wow…… oops,,,, have I gone too far……… heheh sorry,,, It has been awhile since I posted I am getting carried away…. Good afternoon dear friends, I hope you are all having a great week so far…. we have had a few days of rain,, but is ok we really needed it…. yesterday my friend Cindy and I went and had pedicure’s it was so wonderful,,,, hated to get out of that chair….. then we went shopping for some cute summer clothes,,,,, we did find a few things,,,,,, Ok enough of that,,, on to my wonderful happy news….. I won a wonderful give a WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Yeeeeeeeehawww!!

Sorry I got carried away,,,,,, so the other day we got a knock on the door with my goodie box…. I can’t wait to show you all,,,,,,,,,,,,,, so here we go………

OH just look at all those wonderful wrapped gifts….. I could not wait to get my hands on them an rip them open….hehehehe

Good evening; I know I an early for posting Pink Saturday,,,, but I just thought I would get an early start. Wow can you believe that Pink Saturday is going to be Two yrs old,,,,,,,,, my goodness how time flies. When our wonderful Sweet Pink Hostess Beverly of How Sweet The Sound started it two yrs ago,,,, there were only a few who were participating,,now there are so many who have joined in on the fun…. Beverly has made our Saturday mornings so much more enjoyable with all the wonderful blogs showing off their gorgeous Pinks.. I have so enjoyed playing along,, showing some of my favorite Pretty Pinks… So I thought I would show a few of my old ones again…. MY PATIO;

Hello there! I am still here alive a kicking…… I have been a bad blogger here lately,,,,, I have been having blogging block,,,,,not much to write about…… have not been busy doing much either,,,,, gosh I hope I am not the only one who has had this problem,,,,,,, for some reason I am having a hard time getting into the swing of things,,, not sure what the problem is…. hope it goes away soon… I have not even been creative,,,,,,, yes it is true,,,, I know I can’t believe it either……

I have been by to some of your blogs to see what you all have been up too,,,, I have been keeping up with our Sweet Sherry from Phoenix,,, I am so happy that she is home and doing better,,,,, Praise the Lord for that…. I Pray that she continues to do better each day…… So I think I am getting back to normal again…….. I hope…lol I have been working on my Patio,,,,, getting some new plants and making it a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by….. I do love to sit out there when it is not too hot,,, it faces the west and when the Sun hits in in the after noon,,,, Wow!!!! it gets really warm…… but the cloudy days it is really nice… I have some photos to share so I will stop talking and show you….

Sorry for so many photos,,,,,,, I still have lots more I want to do to it,,, but so far it is looking pretty good…. I am planning on getting a trellis so I can plant a Wisteria I love those,,, and it will give us some needed privacy not to mention the sent… mmmmm love it…. and I still need to get the window boxes to hang on the railing… a few tables,, and some tiny white lights….. for that evening glow….. the rug we brought back with us,, I love to have a rug out side,, it makes it much nicer looking…… it does need a wash though….you should see my neighbors when I am out there with my vacuum….. it is too funny…… hehehehe. I have my four arm chandelier to hang too,,, just not sure where to hang it yet.. it is a non working one,, I use candles with it…. Well I hope you enjoyed my patio…… I am having fun putting it together,, getting my hands dirty….. love it,,, love it…. oh I have planted some tomatoes too,,,, they are doing great….. so this fall I will have fresh tomatoes,,,,, we are thinking about getting a dwarf fruit tree,,, that would be wonderful…. the weather has been amazing here,,, I have been to the pool and the water is really great….. I even found a new bathing suite,,,,, and I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol on me that is…. which is no easy task…… (wink)

Good Afternoon; So are you all having a wonderful week so far? I hope so,, the weather here is really beautiful, it has been in the upper 80’s blue skies and puffy white clouds…. Yesterday I went to the pool and laid in the sun for a bit then dangled my tootsies in the water,,, which was so yummy,,,,, not too cold…. But today I am staying home,, I am redoing my craft room,,, I brought back my book Where Women Create…. love that book,, and I was going though it last night and found some great ideas for my room….. So I am off to do some fixing up….. I will take some photos to share with you all…..But for today I have a few photos to share with you from around my home…. I have been finding places for my pretties,,, finally… now I have shared some with you,,, in a later post,, and these are new ones…. OK here we goooooooooooooooooooooooooo--------

This is my sweet hubby’s Gardenia,, it is really blooming,,, he was so excited to wake up this morning and find all of these wonderful smelling blooms…. I am going to get a pretty pot for it this weekend….. it is a dwarf one so it won’t get too big which is perfect for our patio.

My Lavender,,, I love Lavender.. it is loving being out there on the patio… I am going to be drying some of it..

Don’t you just love the sweet blooms on them……….

I know I have already showed you all this Hydrangea but just had to show her off again,,,, It is really taken off…..

Sorry for the bad shot,, but I did try to keep the blinds closed so you could see it.. I hung this in our bed room on the wall between our bath, and closet. it is perfect there… this was my hubbys idea,, he does come up with some good ones once in awhile….. hehe

This is on the wall at the end of our bed,, I am still decorating it,,, so this is what I see first thing when I open up my little eyes….. love it…. now I just need to find just the right Pretties for it….

This gorgeous long and big tassel my Sweet Sister bought for me a long time ago,, hangs on the pegs…

This area is in our living room…. it sits across from the patio door,, I love how it reflects the out door light, and in the evening the light from the lamp…

The candle sconce hangs on the other side of my Tea Cup shelf…. and my sweet pink Fairy watches over it all….. Don’t ya just love her…. I do… I received her in a swap last year……

This is in our guest bath,,,, I love the lavender color with some tan and brown,, which is the color style I am going for… still working on it…. but it will get there.

I love my Rooster’s I set this up in front of my sink… makes doing the dishes much easier, with this to look at….

I found this at the Johnny Apple Seed fall craft fair a few yrs ago back home…. I love it… Its home is on the wall next to my craft room… I want to make one like this some day,,, it is just a cut up old quilt with some pretties sewed on,,, and a sweet saying….. then framed…

HELLO RAINEY MONDAY;

Good afternoon blog friends; I hope you are all having a great Monday so far… We are getting some rain today,, I don’t mind it is so great for the flowers and plants.. I bought a few more over the weekend… Some Lavender, a Dwarf Gardenia which he just loves,, he was so cute showing me with such a smile on his face…….. sorry honey,,,, but you were…. found some pretty pots to plant them in. I have not taken any photos yet but I will to show you… I just can’t make up my mind on how I want the patio to look.. I keep moving every thing around… Well today is a pretty good day for me,,, except for the rain making my head hurt,,,, So I have been hanging up pictures, and shelves and finding new homes for my pretties…. I will be show you all later.. I am so far behind on my crafts,,, the baby quilt I really need to get finished,, this is not like me to take so long to make one… hope I get it to her before Carter graduates High School…lol sorry Shelia,,,,, I am on it….

Now for this post I am going to finally show you all the photos of the class of 77* get together… I had so much fun with all the girls,, well most of them… Some have not changed a bit…. Ok on with the photos,,,, gosh I hope I can remember their names…………..lol

PINK GIRLY BEDDING….

Good Evening; and how are all of you dear friends doing? I am still not up to Par yet,,, but hopefully I will be soon….. So here it is Pink Saturday again; wow the weeks are just zooming by….. I hope they slow down some,,, and let Spring and Summer last a bit…. we have been enjoying some wonderful weather here,,,,,,, Sunny days with very Blue skies….. Loving it….. My flowers are doing great,,,,,,, I am enjoying being able to get my hands dirty again,,,,, even though it is only a patio,,,,, it is still dirt….. right;;;;

Ok on to Pink Saturday,,,,,last Saturday I showed you my sweet Princess Madison,,,, well sorry but I am going to be showing her again,,,,, hehehe this time it is her bed room that she stays in when she is with her Daddy,,, our son,,,,, we had a new bed for her but it was a blue color,,, and well that just won’t do for a Princess,, so when we were home last I bought some creamy white spray paint and went to town,,,, it looks so much better now…. And Heather our daughter went and bought her some new Princess bedding for it….. it had all the Princesses on it.. Cinderella,, Bell, Sleeping Beauty,,, ok only three,,, Madison’s favorite is Cinderella,,,, but she call’s her Lella….. love how she says her name,,, oh and she calls Sleeping Beauty,,,,, booty,,, she knows who each one is she is 2 yrs old,, her older brother Zachary just turned 7 he has his own room now too…. they both love it…… well Zach took over our old room,,,, so when we can get back we have to sleep with Sponge Bob,,, and Cars,,,, lol just too funny for words…

OH OK I will be quite an show you her pretty pink bedding……

Madison was so excited,,, we were moving some things around and she couldn’t wait to sit on her bed….. before we even put it all together,,,,,,,

Her Mimi even put up some Princess Clings on her walls,,,, so pretty.

Madison even has a Princess big wheel,, her Daddy bought it for her for Christmas,,,, love the Pink and Purple,, matches her bedding too.

HAVE NOT BEEN UP TOO MUCH;

Good afternoon ladies,,, I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful week so far. We have been having some wonderful days here with a bit of thunderstorms,,, which I don’t mind. I have been not feeling well the past few day’s, so I have not been around much today is a pretty good one so I thought I had better do a post before you all forget about me…. lol Since I am having a good day,,, I thought I would do some decorating and making things look more homey…. My sweet D.H. hung my small book shelf so I could set out some of my Tea Cups… and a few prints….

I have also been doing some planting out on our balcony, still have a ways to go but it will get there. I dug up one of my miniature Yellow Roses to bring back, she seems to love it here.. Over the weekend we went to find a few flowers to set out.. I will just keep quite and show you what I have done….

Sorry is some are a bit blurry,,, so far I like how it is set up,,,,, but as you know I like to change things up a bit and move things around…

I have missed my sweet pretty tea cups…. I just might have to make a cup of tea now….. :)

My niece Jenny gave me these silver salt and pepper shakers… I love them…..

I Love this creamy vase with the pretty Roses on it,, found it at Jo-Ann’s a few yrs ago……. love iiiiitttt!!!

And our table…. I have to get some candles for the holders…. and I am not sure if I like this or not,,, so I will just live with it a bit and see… I still have some prints that need to be hung,, just not sure where yet…lol I am so slow at finding homes for my pretties,,, drives my honey nuts…. poor guy….. now I will show you some of my pretty plants….

My two blue Hydrangeas,,,, and the yellow rose bush.. I need to find a pretty pot for my Salvia,,,, they get the just the right amount of Sunshine…..

See the painted pot on top,,,, well my oldest grand son Paul,, painted that for me when he was little,,, and he is going to be 17 in a few month’s…. Wow time sure flies by…. I so love it….

I have lots of plans for our little out door area… I am planning on putting up some flower boxes that hang on the railing,, I will be able to fit five of them, so I am looking forward to that….. Hello Dear Friends; I want to Thank you all for your very kind comments,, you have left during this time.. your Love and Prayers are so very much appreciated. Do too the time it took to get the funeral arrangements done,,, we were unable to attend…the story is a very long and not too happy one,,, so I will spare you all the details…. but my Sister called me and let us know how it went… so again thank you all for your Prayers,, and words of comfort,,, you are the best……

GOING BACK HOME AGAIN;

Good evening dear friends…. We are making a unexpected trip back home,,,, this afternoon I received a call from my Sister,, that our brother John had passed away…. I was so shocked by this news,,, he is just a few yrs older them me…. They think he had a heart attack… We are leaving tomorrow as early as we can… I would love for you all to keep my family in your Prayers during this difficult time,,, I Thank You all so much for them….. MY RED ROSE

Good afternoon; I hope you all are having a great week so far. The weather here is so gorgeous warm and sunny,,, I hope you are enjoying the same where you are. Now I want to share with you my Beautiful Red Rose Pin, I won in a give a way…. I received it in the mail yesterday,,, I was so excited when I saw the sweet package addressed to little ol’ me., from Lorena,, from Rose Chick Friends…. she does the most amazing Rose’s ,, and she makes them by hand… you should stop by her blog and see all the gorgeous Flowers she makes… I thank you so much Lorena for drawing my name… I will show you now my Red Rose..

Look how pretty it is,,, it looks like velvet… the red is just a gorgeous deep one…. love each petal how Lorena shaped each one.. so lovely..

Don’t ya just love it,,,,,,,,,, I can’t wait to ware it it is a good size too,, should have put something next to it to give you an idea of the size… I have some really great shirts and a scarf to ware it with…… and I love pins,,, all kinds….. I have a ton of them… (not kidding)hehe Thank you Lorena for my gorgeous Red Rose…..

Now as for my unpacking and finding new homes for my pretties------------------ well that is another story,, it is going to take me awhile to find the right place for them…. I don’t hurry when I am redoing a room or in this case moving,,,, to hang up things or place them on tables or shelves… It takes me forever it seems,, to find where to put them,,,,,, am I alone in this or is there someone out there like me……. I will show you some of my mess I have right now…..

Hmmmmmm someday we will be able to use this table for what it is meant for,,, eating.

Don’t you just love my Pink bubble wrap…….. this box holds my Tea cups and saucers, I can’t wait to get them all out and look at them…… I have missed them…. silly I know but I did..

Gee it looks like we are just moving in,, instead of being here for almost a year……lol Now I do have a place to up my peg shelf there on the floor,, it is going on a wall in our bed room…. and the wall shelf setting next to it,,, is going up above the dinning table it will hold my Tea cups….. but all the rest is still waiting for a home…..(sigh)

Our heavy and large mantle was not fun bringing up 4 flights of stairs,, but we did it… I love where it sits.. I plan on painting the inside black and do a mosaic on the surround instead of the faux marbling… which was there when we bought it…

I am thinking of painting it a creamy white, not sure yet,,,,, what would you do------ paint it or leave it alone????? I think the painting is too high will have to lower it….

Well that is what I have been up too. I will do a post on the Easter with the family this week too,,,,, and then the night out with the girls from school…..

I was so happy that I was there to see it bloom in all its glory….. just don’t look at the nasty weeds just gaze your eye balls at the tree….

This is my sweet neighbor’s tree,,, just like cotton balls all over.

OH dear there are those nasty weeds again,,,,,,, they just pop up all over….. I love the sent of Hyacinths, when the wind blew the air was filled with the sent of them….. sniff sniff…… can you smell them?????

I even went to my daughter’s house to take a few to share with you…. she was excited about that,,, they have worked so hard to get their yard looking pretty, and they did a great job….

This is her tree,,,, the flowers on this one are so thick and full…. what a great back drop for photos…… like snow…..oops…. did not mean to mention that word….

Heather has some gorgeous colors,,,,, love the deep purple…. she really has a green thumb….. hmmmmmmm wonder where she gets it……… (wink)

OH look! it is the chair I made for her last year……. wonder how that got in the photo…….. hehehehe she usually has it out front in the flower bed…. but put it there during the winter….. Just a bit of Spring for you all from Indiana for you to enjoy….. The weather was really great…. Our Easter was just wonderful, all my kids and grandkids were there and a few other family members too…. I will be doing a post about it soon….. and I was able to make our class of 77 dinner with the girls too,,,, which was so Great!!! we were crazy, I am surprised the restaurant did not kick us out for being too loud…… lol; there were 15 of us…. I will be doing a post on that as well,,,, and of course I took photos….. We are planning another one in July, so I will be back for that one too….. and more photos to share and stories to tell…. ahhhhhhhh the good ole’ days…..

HAVE A BLESSED EASTER;

Good evening; I hope you all enjoyed your week so far. The weather is finally getting really nice…. so I hope where you live it is the same way… We have had such a harsh winter that we all are looking forward to a Warm Spring…. My daughter Heather is getting her garden ready for planting,,she was so excited when I talked to her today. I can’t hardly believe that Easter will be here this weekend,,, this year seems to be whizzing by, hope it slows a bit…

We are getting ready to leave for back home this Fri. that is way I am doing my Easter post tonight…. I can’ wait to get on the road to spend Easter with our Family… So to all my Dear and Wonderful Blog Friends, I am Praying that each and every one of you have a very Blessed Easter… Remembering what the Lord gave us on that day,, and Praising him for his Sacrifice for us and the Love he has for us all…. Hello dear blog friends; My how fast the week has been going,,, it is the weekend again and time for Pink Saturday…. my favorite day of the week…. A perfect way to start the day,,, feet up all cozy in pjs. sipping a nice cup of coffee,, and my laptop ready to do some major Pink Hopping…. Since our wonderful Pink Hostess Beverly started this,,, it has grown so fast with so many wonderful blogs joining in,,, And Beverly is just amazing at how she keeps it all together…. Three Pink Cheers for Beverly……!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are amazing-------------------------------- so dear friends if you wish to see lot’s more gorgeous Pinkness them please stop by and pay Beverly a visit,, you will find all sorts of sweet wonderful ladies who are showing off their Pinkies….. here is where you can find them; how sweet the sound you won’t be sorry…..

OK for my Pink this fine day,, I will be showing you the rest of what I found at our local Good Will. I was pretty lucky in finding some great things…. I don’t go that much so when I do they seem to have a lot…. or maybe I am missing a lot…. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm will have to think about that…… **************************** maybe later I will get a headache….lol’

This is a sweet ginger pot,,, I love the pale Pinks and yellows,, so Spring looking.. don’t you think. It was only a 1.99…. not bad.. she cleaned up quit nicely.

OH MY this is my very pretty Pink flower saucer plate,,, I so wish they had the tea cup to go with…… darn it all…. but any way I just fell in love with her…. She is so delicate, she is so Pink a lishous…..

MY GOOD WILL TRIP

Good evening all; I have been a slacker lately I have been in my sewing room sewing the baby quilt… I want to get the top done before I leave next Fri. I hope I stay on track, but I am taking the day off tomorrow Cindy and I are going to a indoor Flea Market.. It is in a huge building and I so can’t wait to see what kind of pretties I can bring home…..lol I am on the look out for some Tea cups and saucers…. or some gorgeous plates I can break for some mosaic’s… So that is what I have been up to…

OK last weekend I went to the G.W. and found some really great things, now some I can’t show you because I am saving them for Pink Saturday. So here we go….

I found three silver oval trays they were only a 1.00 each,,, so I had to get them…

This is the back of the one above,, is it not just gorgeous looking, it only had one handle but I just fell in love with it…

This one is has a very shinny bottom like a mirror as you can see… I know that they look alike in all these photos but they are all different….. I really need to practice taking some really great photos…

The detail on them is so gorgeous… I am going to use one of them in the guest bath,, holding some pretty soaps…

I love this yummy yellow plate,, just a dollar… don’t you just love it when you find a great buy…..

This is a cute white pot, or small dish what ever you want to call it,,,,,,, I call it--------- pretty…………….

On each side there is a lion face,,, to to cute…. I really have to think of how I want to use it….. hmmmmmmmmmmm much put on my decorating thinking cap……

And this is what was stamped on the bottom of it… I might put some shells in it or buttons, maybe some vintage jewelry,,, just don’t know------------- OK one more photo,,,,,, and this time I remembered to add it..lol

My sweet loving thoughtful Mr. Cottage Rose picked this gorgeous White Rose plant… Love it!!!!!!

The flowers are so pretty and full… I am on the look out for a great looking pot to plant them in… When we get back from our Easter vacation back home, I am going to start on our patio… I will be bringing some of our out door things from back home to here.. I am so excited about seeing all my Big Kids,, and the grand babies.. which are not babies any more….. they grow up so fast.. My sweet Sister is making the Easter dinner for the whole Family,,, so I don’t have to worry about it… Now how sweet is that I ask….. OK,,,,, so when my my DH was reading my Pink Post he let me know that I forgot to show you all the Pink and brown ribbons…. I told you all about them and just plain forgot to put them on……. lol lol;

Hello Ladies; how are you all doing?? I hope you all had a wonderful week… Well the week sure did fly by don’t you think…. it is hard to believe that Easter is almost upon us.. We have been enjoying some gorgeous days here,, we even hit 73 today I almost wished they had the pool open…..lol

OK enough chitchat….it is Pink Saturday, a day just for nothing but beautiful Pinkness…. so let’s give a huge Pink Shout for our wonderful Pink Hostess Beverly of;How Sweet the Sound now you must stop by and pay her a visit, there you will find so many ladies that will be showing their Pink,,,, so please sit put up you feet get cozy and sip some coffee,, and enjoy your morning..

I am showing my Beautiful Tea Pot, I found at Ross the other day… I was going to buy a cute pair of shoes for summer,,,,,,,,,, buuuttttt when I laid my green peepers on the Beautiful Tea Pot,,,,,, welllllllll the shoes were so gone.. I have a ton of black sandals but it is not easy to find a Tea Pot that is only 8.99 not too shabby. So with out further adieu here it is…

OH just look at her!!!!!!!!!!!!! is she not gorgeous;;;;;; I am a big lover of Blue Willow,,,, and when I found her in Pink well you know I just had to have it,, she was the only one left, and look so lonely.. I can’t wait to make a pot of Tea with it,,. mmmmmm

Isabella’s check up went really great,, she might even get to get off her medicine in a few months… I was so excited to hear such wonderful news…. she did gain some weight she is now almost 19lbs… I call her my chubby wubby….lol

And for my last Pink photo ; I love these yummy ribbons,,, Pink and Brown,, bought them at Hobby Lobby last week,, they were 50% off such a great buy,, I found a few more but will show them later…. WHAT A GORGEOUS DAY;

Good evening friends; I think Spring is finally here. The trees are blooming all over here, the plants are getting their buds and soon will be open… The days have been so nice and warm sunshine.. I am a happy camper now… I hope it is the same where you live… talking with my Sister today it is looking pretty nice back home too.

We are able to make a trip back of Easter this year… I am so excited,,,,, I have been missing my big kids and my babies…. I bet they have changed a lot since I last saw them.. We are able to have a week so that is so great,, and I will be bring back some more of our things,,, we are unable to rent the Uhaul this time around,, so I will have to be creative when packing the truck again….lol I just might have to tie something on the roof too……………. (kidding honey)….. Now I just have to figure out what to bring back…. that is not going to be easy… I have been out and about these past few day’s I found some really great things at our GW will be doing a post on them,,, and when I was visiting Cindy we went to Ross and I found a really pretty Tea Pot,, which I will be showing for Pink Saturday…. so this is what I have been working on,,, and need to get finished…

Getting ready to cut all the strips for the Quilt I am making for our very sweet and dear friend Shelia,, who by the way is a new Grandma now….. I am so very excited and happy for them all,, what a wonderful Blessing…

Now don’t worry all this mess it nothing to worry about,, it will all turn out great… hmmmmmmmm I hope….

So I spent quit a few hrs… getting them all in order and marked so I don’t forget which one goes with which… since I did not use the colors the pattern used I forgot what fabrics when where,,,,,, but all is well and it will soon look like a Quilt….. I think I had better get sewing tomorrow it should go pretty fast,,,,,,,,,,,,, I hope… I have a few other projects I am going to start soon I will be letting you all see what I am working on,,,, I can’t wait….. So that is about all that I have been up to,,, which is not much….. I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far…

Now last Tuesday my friend Cindy and I found this wonderful little Antique shop in Rock Hill,,, since neither of us have been there before we were excited to see what they had… it was not a big shop but it had some really wonderful booths, with some lovely things… in one booth there was this gorgeous set of China,,,, with some Pink Roses on it but the price she had on them I just could not afford…. *sigh*

Any way I found one booth that had the most beautiful aprons,,, some were vintage and some were handmade… well I found one that just spoke to me,,,,,,,,, have you ever had that when shopping? something speaking to you……… well I do and this did…. sorry off track,,,, my bad.. So I bought her and brought her home,,, and she is perfect for Pink Saturday….. so her she is………………

Is she not the cutest little apron,,,,,,,,,,,, OK maybe one of the cutest…..lol I just love the lime green and Pink together…. and the black and white polka dot reminds me of the 50’s……

How cute is the pocket,,,,,,, not sure if I can bring myself to ware it…… she also had some really cute little one’s for girls,,, I think I will have to find a pattern and make a few for my grand daughters,, they would love it…

Cindy bought all us girls a small bouquet of Tulips,,, how sweet is that,,, Cindy you are a doll and we all love you.. (she reads my blog)………………………..

So she let me pick out the color I wanted and I had to pick the Pink ones,,,,, of course…

OH they are just so pretty Pink,,,,,,,,,,,,,, brought just a bit of Spring to our home…. just wish they lasted longer…..

You know I had to take one with my pretty Pink apron and Pink Tulips…….lol how pretty they look……ahhhhhhh

Now for my last Pinkie it is from my very sweet loving MIL,,,, it is my Birthday card she sent me….. I know my B-day was last month but I had to show it for Pink Saturday….. it is so darn cute………………………………….

LUNCH WITH FRIENDS.

Good evening; So dear friends how is the weather where you are?? I talked to my daughter yesterday and she said that her Tulips are popping up,,, she was so excited,, she is back in Ind… and today they were getting sunshine and in the 60’s not too bad… Sure hope that this is the last of winter,, we are getting rain here, and maybe a thunderstorm tomorrow and Fri. That I can live with. We have Cherry trees here in the complex,, and they have bloomed so pretty,, they really don’t get cherries.. and some of the other plants are showing some of their color, I will have to take my camera out and take a few photos to share.. We are hoping that we can make a trip back home around Easter,, I can’t wait to see all my babies, hope they have not forgotten us….. and to bring the rest of our things back… I so can’t wait to have them here..

Yesterday I met my friend Cindy in Rock Hill, and we met up with 5 other ladies at Stake and Shake for lunch. It was so nice to get out and meet new friends. They were all just so sweet and kind, then we went to a Nursing Home to host a Tea and Cookie with a game of Trivia. We had such a fun time with them. I was talking with a Gentleman who was 94, and his memory was so amazing, he was telling me about his job with GE, and how they sent him all over the country.. He even spent some time in South America,, and London. I was so amazed at how his memory was, heck mine is not as good as his,,,,,, lol The Home was so pretty, they are redoing all the rooms making them more nicer for them,,,, how great is that.. There was another gentleman he was so funny,, he just cracked us up… It was such a lovely time talking with them,,, serving Tea and Cookies to them… The Girls do this every Tues.. so I have joined with them,, they even pick a day and go and visit a resident and take them for a walk and spend time with them…. they are such a wonderful group of Ladies..

So after spending a few hrs. there we parted, and Cindy and I went to this little Antique shop, I found something that is just perfect for Pink Sat. sorry dear friends but you will have to wait until then….. hehehe I know I am a stinker……………………………….

Then we went to Tuesday Morning,,,, I love that store, we found lot’s of pretties there, wish I could have gotten them all…. There was so much for the garden and flower beds,,, gorgeous flower pot’s,, I found some pretties there and they begged me to take them home,,, so I just could not refuse them,, and away we all went…. I did take a few photos to share,,, and then I forgot to take photos the the rest of them…. I will have to do another post on those…. So with out further delay,,,,, here they are……

I so love this Rooster pot,,, it is so pretty… and I love my rooster’s…

And I just fell in Love with the adorable Rooster plate… I don’t have a plate stand for it so I had to prop it up with the the lid to my candle…. hey use what you have on hand I always say….. right ladies?????????????????????????? and it was only 1.99,,, now I wish I bought more of them….

Don’t they make a lovely couple………………. they are the best of friends already….

So I put my Fur baby’s doggy treats in the bowl,,,, hey she needs a pretty container for her goodies…. she even knows that they are in there already,,,,,such a cleaver doggie…..

This is the home I found for the rooster plate,,,, it is on my gorgeous iron shelf in the kitchen…. it probably wont stay there long,, I tend to move things around a bit,,,,hehe drives my DH nuts… lol Well I hope you enjoyed my post and photos,,, I will do another one on the rest of my goodies,,,, and I will make sure I take pictures of them…… silly me. HOBBY LOBBY SHOPPING LOVING IT…..

No I did not find my pot of gold there,,,,hehe I spent a pot of gold though,,,,,,,,,,,lol not really they were having a wonderful sale, most every thing was 30% to 50% off,,, even the fabric dept. had 30% off their fabrics and ribbons,,,,,, I found some gorgeous ribbons and some other pretties, but will save that for another post…. This is about the beautiful fabrics I found for my next Baby Quilt…. Since you all know I made the Teddy Bear Quilt for Shelia’s daughter,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Well this one is for the Grandma to be… Now I think all Grandma’s should have a B-Quilt for the baby when they visit… to cuddle with.. and when the Baby is too big for the Quilt,,, she can use it on the wall or over a chair foot stool or table, what ever she chooses…

The fabrics I choose are for either a boy or girl not too cutesy, this way Shelia can use it in other ways….. I sure hope she likes what I picked out…. that is the most nervous part about choosing fabric’s,,, making sure they match the owners personality and decor, of the home… And Shelia of Note Songs, has the most glorious funny, sweet, caring, loving personality…. So I was looking forever trying to capture her spirit… I was lugging so many bolts of fabrics back and forth to make sure they go together,,, I had them stacked all over the cutting table….lol they were so nice to let me stack them there… Poor Honey,,, he left to shop a Kohl's, and left me to look and take my time….. great guy.. :0

Ok now I will show you what I finally picked. hope you all like it as well.

In case you all forgot this is the quilt pattern I am making… it won’t take as long as the other one, this is more strip piecing… but the fabrics shown are not the ones I picked out,,,, Shelia’s sweet daughter and son in law don’t want to know the sex,,,,, just like the olden days,, before ultra sound’s……

Here they are all lined up on my desk,, it was so hard to get them all in but I did get some close up’s to show you…. I tried to stick to a monochromatic color,, I love all the patterns they had..

Don’t you just love the olden Key’s….. I know that Shelia likes Toile so I was able to find some in the perfect shade…. then I spied the Celtic cross fabric,, love it………………

I have put the fabrics in sets that will be next to each other in the quilt,,, these represent the white prints, love the touch of blue in the floral print,, and the solid cream with another Toile print,,,, love it…….

These next two fabrics are for the inner and outer boarder’s,, I hope you can see the light Rose print,, it is so much more gorgeous then what it shows… you can click on it to make it larger to see it better… it is like a soft painting…. it matches so prefect with other fabrics..

The Rose print here has a touch of blue as well,, these are going to make a small block in the quilt, it takes the place of the green….. in the photo. if you look ever so close at the one on the right side you can see a rooster in the fabric…. now I know that Shelia loves rooster’s as well, so when I found this one, I thought it perfect for the quilt, it is not over powering either, and the Daisy fabric reminds me of Spring… (sigh)

And these two are for part of a block and the stripped one is for the binding,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, love this strip,, I wish they had lots more of it, it would make such gorgeous curtains….. it has a wonderfully soft sheen to it….perfect for a baby.. to snuggle against…. don’t ya think??????

Here they are in order so you can kind of see how they all look together,,, I had to take them in small shots could not get them all in the picture but it is easier to see how well the flow is between each one….

OK the two Toile’s are not going to be this close to each other in the quilt…… just so you know, did not notice this until after I took the photo and down loaded it….. oops..

Well friends,,, what do you all think of my choices??? did I do good???? hope so. Like I said this part of the possess makes me a nervous wreck. Tomorrow I will be doing the cutting of all of these pretties… getting them numbered and in order of sewing… I still have to find the backing for the quilt,, something really soft and just the perfect color…… I don’t usually use heavy pattern for the back,, maybe a plain one,, what do you think I should use???? I could use some help with this,,, pattern and color and type of fabric,,,, so please give me some ideas if you would….. That is why I love to blog,,,, there are so many talented ladies out there, and they are all so willing to help when needed, with ideas and just about any thing else one could need help with…..

Now I have been looking all over for the Flea Market Style magazine,,,,for about a week… I finally found it in Rock Hill,,, I was so excited when I spotted it… I have been reading it since last night,, and I am so loving each and every page…

I am so happy that there is a wonderful Mag. like this,, this is one of the best ever,,, and my new best friend…hehe. So a huge thank you to Ki and Matthew and the others for putting together such a wonderful Magazine.

Good afternoon friends; I hope you all are having a great week, and happy Hump Day…. today is just gorgeous out, Sun is shinning and the snow is melting,,, yeaaaaahhhhhhhh rahhhhhhhhh….. sorry for telling you that, for the ones still getting lot’s of snow don’t hate me…. lol

Now on too my post, yesterday I finally received my Birthday gift from my Sweet MIL. I had really forgotten all about it, so it was a wonderful surprise.. I can’t remember if I told you where she works so forgive me if I have…. She works for Vera Bradley back in Ft Wayne, Ind… she loves working there sewing is her passion and she is very good at it, not many get to work at a place where the love what they are doing… So for my gift she told me to pick out any thing I wanted,,,,, well she did not have to ask me twice,,,,,, (wink)… So I hopped on the website to look at all the gorgeous things they have to offer. It was so hard to pick from so many, but I did find the right one.. I really love Toile and they had a pretty Toile pattern, it is brown and pink.. just a touch of pink.. yes ladies I took photos of it….

Don’t you just love this sweet bag,,,, oooooooooo I do,,, and it is the perfect size too… the shoulder straps are just the right length and comfy… if you squint your sweet eyes you can see the touch of Pink our favorite color.

The inside is just as pretty as the outside.. Love the pink print they used for the pockets. It hold’s all my things just wonderfully,,,, hmmmmm I have said that alot in this post….. but it is so true.

It’s it not the most Gorgeous thing ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (squealing now) I couldn’t wait to give her a call and thank her for this lovely gift.. I have the sweetest MIL in the world.. Thanks MOM!!

Good evening dear friends,, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Hope some of you are getting some wonderful weather, I am so looking forward to Spring.. Well my sweet DH put all my programs on my new laptop, and my tons of photos.. so now I can show you what a bought at Crackle Barrel last Wed.. They had so much to look at ,, I so love that place…

OH look what I found,,, don’t you just love this cute little Rooster pillow?????????????? I love all the great colors, I hung it by the stove, but I am sure it will get moved a lot,,, I am always moving things around..hehe

They have the most gorgeous Rooster goodies,,, I could go nuts there…. buttttttttttttttt I was good….. and then I found these little pretties…

I found these sweet darling little Mother’s Day pins in the back in a cute basket… I just had to get two for my lovely Daughters for Mother’s day… I love to send them little gifts, to let them know what wonderful Mommies they are…. they were only 3.00 not too bad….

Had to take a close up shot so you can see all the wonderful things hanging on it… Love the Pink heart, baby spoon, baby shoe, little girl and little boy praying,,, I think they will really like it…. now I just have to remember that I have them and send them out…lol

We had a wonderful weekend the weather was really nice,,, but tomorrow we are supposed to be getting some rain or snow,,,, ick………….. today was so gorgeous, sunny and in the 50’s… I can’t wait to get to plant some flowers and dig in the dirt again… Love to get my hands dirty,,, Cindy is going to let me dig in her yard this year… yeahhhhhhhhhhh can’t wait for that,,, I told her how much I love to garden, and she told me that I can stop over and give her and hand with her,,, how sweet of her…. HEY NEW LAPTOP

Hello Friends; Bet you thought I left you all...... well here I am,, sorry I don't have any photos to share, but my wonderful Honey bought me a new Laptop!!!!!!!!!!! ooooo I was so happy, did not even know it was for me,, I thought it was for him..... what a guy.... so all my programs are not on here yet,, but they will be soon..... Now for my lunch yesterday with my friend Cindy.... We had such a lovely time, we met at Crackle Barrel which we both love..... And our afternoon was spent talking and sharing,, oh and of course eating....hehe.... So we have some plans for out next get together,,, so I can't wait to go exploring with this lovely lady Cindy.... Cindy and her husband are new to S.C. also,, so we are going to find our way around together, so if we get lost we will be lost together.... lol; OH and friends the wonderful goodies they have at Crackle Barrel,,,, wow so many Easter pretties,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I did find some pretties to bring home, as Cindy did... when I get my programs on my New Laptop...... I HAVE A NEW FRIEND WHAT A SMALL WORLD.....

Good afternoon dear friends.... I hope you all had a wonderful weekend... It was so gorgeous here over the weekend,,,, sunny skies,,, and in the mid 60's.. loved it,,, but as usual I was with a head cold,,,, never fails when it is nice out I am not feeling well.... hmmmmm does this come with old age???? NOOOOOOOOO guess not....

Well dear friends,,,,, I have a new old friend!!!! who I found out lives in Rock Hill just down the road from me..... I am so excited to have a female to do fun things with again,,, don't get me wrong I love to shop and do things with me sweet DH,,, but a woman needs another one to hang with ,,,,,,, you all know what I mean...... of course you do.... any way a long time family friend let me know about her on my face book page,,, so we have been emailing each other since we found out about each other living near by... Back home we used to go to the same Church, and she knows my Sweet Sister as well..... I can't tell you how excited I am to be able to get out and explore all the great little shops and have a friend with me...... we are planning on meeting this Wed. for lunch to talk and get to know each other,,, then our Hubbys will get together this coming weekend..... Since I don't know my way around here yet,,, it will be nice to get lost with some one I know.... lol

I am still working on my embroidery hope to have it done soon. I am getting my sewing room ready to start sewing again........ still have to get the paint for our bedroom,,,,, now that I have a new partner in shopping she has offered to help me out..... that is so great.....

We have spent so many wonderful Valentine Days together,, hubby and I... and each one was so special and wonderful.... but there is only one that really sticks in my mind,, it is really a funny and very Romantic to say the least.... So this post is in tribute to my Valentine.... my Sweet Caring Husband.....

In the first few yr's of our Marriage like most young couples we did not have a lot of money,, but that did not stop my DH,, he would come up with the sweetest little gifts for me,, only the ones I would love,, to other's I am sure they would have said,,,, I can't believe he gave you that..... But too me they were the kindest most wonderful gifts he could have given me.... I have a real love for Beef Jerky,,, just love it,,,, and he new that,,, so sometimes he would stop and buy a few to surprise me,,,, and to me it was like getting a expensive piece of jewelry...........or something like that....... or he would bring home a single Rose from the gas station,,,, (they were cheaper there)..... but I just adored them...... I Love the simple little things in life I am not a fancy kind of gal,, and he is not a fancy kind of guy,,, so we fit together so well.... any way that was just a few of the sweet little things he would do for me...... But on this one Valentine's Day,, a long time ago,,,, at the Laundry Matt,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, we did not have a washer and dryer back then,, so every Sat. we went to do the laundry,, and he went with me every time,,, how great is that..... Am I lucky or what.........

Any way the laundry matt that we used was next door to a Florist's shop.. and Valentine's Day was on that Sat, we were doing laundry,,, I did not mind it all because he was with me... But he did feel bad that we were spending the Day doing laundry..... So while I was busy with the folding he slipped out... it was very busy in there that morning too,,,, so many ladies with small children,,,,,,, and no husband......so when I heard some ladies making some gasps and hearing oooos and ahhhsss I turned and here is this Man trying to get into the door with this very Large and very Red heart shaped balloon,, that said I Love You..... and a small sweet bundle of Daisy's which are my favorite....... well behind that huge heart was my sweet honey bunny,,,,,, he walked over to where I was sitting and gave me the most Wonderful Valentine's Gift ever..... I told him he did not have to do that,,,,,,, but he just smiled that most beautiful smile,,,, and said........... yes I did,, Because I love you!!!!!!!!!!!! I could have just melted right then and there.... I can only imagine what all those ladies said when they got home to there husband's.....lololol;;;;; they were all just standing there watching what was going on....

So that is why that one Valentine's Day I will always remember,,, I am so very Blessed to have such a wonderful Husband,,,,,,,,,, Wow were we young in that photo,,,, gosh wish I looked that tiny now.......hehehe... he still looks the same,,, same mustache.. you know I have never ever seen him with out that,,,,, not sure if I would even recognize him...lol

WILD AND WINDY,,,,, WEDNESDAY;

Good afternoon ladies; My DH and I want to thank you all for your very sweet and caring comments and Prayers, you have all been so wonderful.. and Isabella thanks you as well. She is holding her own so far, we are having some trouble getting her to eat, seems like every thing she eats dose not stay down... her daddy has been trying everything to get her to eat, but when she does it just won't stay down,, so he is calling the Vet to see what else can be done.... keeping our fingers crossed..... But she is no worse either...we are thankful for that.....

I have been keeping busy with my new project I have started.. and thought I would share it with you... Just down the road from where we live I found this wonderful little Quilt shop called QBee Quilting... love it,, she has some wonderful fabrics and patterns.. I found some cute embroidering patterns.

Are they not the cutest things... love them.. So I found my tracing paper and traced it on some muslin. I decided to use black for the stitching..

I like how the black shows up. After I am done I plan on giving it a coffee bath to age it a bit.. I plan on making a pillow with this one... I have just right fabric for it,, should have taken a photo of that,,,, oh well I will when I get it all done.... then you will be surprised when you see it....

Well that is about all I have been up too this week,, not much to speak of.....sorry about that..... I hope all my dear friends out there are keeping warm and cozy, with all this nasty Snow.. It has been a while since I can remember when we had a hard Snowy Winter as this... back home they are really getting hit with lots of Snow and Wind.... Today the Sun is out and looks so pretty, but the wind is really blowing, I am not sure but I think I felt the building move...... ooooooooo lol; I may need lead shoes to keep me on the ground...hehehe So stay warm and safe dear friends.. thank you all again for your sweet Prayers,, I treasure each and every one of you... HEAVY HEART'S

First I want to apologize for missing my Pink Saturday Post, I just plain forgot about it... We received some sad news about our sweet Isabella yesterday... A few days ago we noticed that she was not her usual playful self, and then we noticed she was having problems jumping up on our bed and sofa, which she never had a problem with before... Then her left side started shaking all the time like she was very cold,, but she was not.... it did not get better, so yesterday we took her to the Animal Hospital by our home, we filled out lots of paper work, then they showed us to a room... A very sweet nurse came in to write down what was going on with her. Then she took Isabella to the Dr. so she could exam her.. So we waited for a long time thinking the worst,,, and Praying for the best.... Finally the kind Dr. came in and did not have good news for us... She started with very long words, they would not even pronounce letting alone understand what it all meant... So she started to break it all down for us to understand, Isabella has G.M. E. Granulomatous Meningoencephalitis. or a Tumor both are of the brain.... she had a Neurologist look at her, and he said that they are 95% sure that is what is wrong with her.... They did blood work and took Urine from her also, they all came out ok... which is good.

To put it plainly it is a abnormal function/activity of the immune system, inflammation is centered around the blood vessels in the brain. Now tears are forming in my eyes,, after hearing all of this... It is something that is common in her type of breed, and around her age 2 1/2 yrs... They gave us Prednisone for her and Pepcid too keep her from having bleeding problems in her stomach... yea more good news....

So now we are just waiting for about two wks too see it this med. works.. we will know by then,, and if not it is something worse like the tumor... sob......... I just can't believe what we have been told,,,, this is my baby they were talking about..... I can't think of not having her with us..... so we are Praying that it works for her,,, if it dose she will be on it for the rest of her life,,, which is fine with me...... that I can handle... So we are on a mission to find a good Vet. out here for her,, ,we are new to North Carolina,,, so we are looking on the internet for a good one to take her too for treatment... and follow ups. Sorry for this being so long,,, but it is something that can not be said in a short post...... So if you all could,,,,,,,,,, please Pray for my Isabella,,,,, she is not doing well now,, we have to coax her to eat and drink,, to keep up her strength to fight.....

I am taking some time off from blogging this week,,, I just can't think much at this time.... But I will be making some visits to you all,,, maybe by Wed. I will be back.... Isabella is not just a Dog,, she is our Baby Girl and a member of our Family.... I get so mad when I hear well she is just a Dog.... well she is not too us......... But with so much rain and cold temps my Sinus's are really acting up, and so is my Arthritis's, so I have not been doing much of any thing but using my heating pad.... It is my new best friend... this weekend we are supposed to be getting more rain and very cold days,, so I don't think my head and back will get over this soon..... darn it..... Just wanted to let you all know I was still around,,,,, or did you not miss me....................... :D hehehe kidding..... My sweet DH bought me my Wii today, and it is so fun to play, boy you sure do get a work out playing it… I am going to find one of the work out games to play,,maybe I will loose a little weight then….. hehe oh and if I stop eating all the candy I just might.. We have been getting some Snow this evening,, I could not believe my little eyes when I saw all those big flakes floating down.. Izzie was having fun with all the snow falling down,,, me I wanted back in the house…lol OK on to Pink cuteness…

When I saw these Pretty Sweet Pink Marshmallow Hearts,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, well I just had to buy them… I love Marshmallow’s and since they were Pink and Heart shaped,, I thought hey great for Pink Saturday….. Now was not that a cleaver idea I had????????? I knew you would.

PICKING OUT PAINT COLORS;

Good Morning Dear Friends; I hope you are all having a beautiful day. Last night we went to WM, for a few things, and thought I would go and look at some paint colors.. I found some really nice one’s.. DH was not too happy about the painting part,, he is not a painter.. but I am.. I love to paint and decorate… So any way I thought I would share them with you, and see if I did good….. Now I am only painting four rooms since the kitchen and dinning and living room is all open, I am not going to paint them… I do love the light tan color, we do have a tray ceiling and I think I will paint the inside of it.. not sure yet… So here are my choices…..

It is so hard to get a good photo of the paint cards.. So I hope you can see them, I took some out side too.

The top one is so much better,, from left to right the Lavender is going in the guest bath,, love that color.. it is called Luscious Lilac.. OOPS; hehe they are out of order,,, not a surprise there,,, the second one is for our master bath,,, Golden Sunbeam.. such pretty names…. The third color is for our bedroom,, l love a Sage Green color,, this is called Ducketymud,,, ok this is not such a pretty name,, but I do love the shade of it….. and the last one is for my Studio and guest room… Honey Caramel…. mmmmmm sounds yummy…. and it looks really pretty with my curtains… Starting on our bed room first and work my way out…. I will make sure I take photos along the way to show you how it is going.. Not sure when I will be starting, but as soon as I can..

Now I have a few photos to share with you, I took some today while Isabella and I were setting out side on the patio… it is so pretty out today…

OK this is not the front part of our home,, this is the back side, we have a great view of Charlotte sky line,, some days it is really clear.. I used my zoom on it at night it is really pretty…

The pool area,,, love the Sun shine,, we have not seen much of it lately,,, this weekend we are getting some freezing rain and snow,,, boo,, but up in the Mountain’s they are getting Snow… so I won’t complain…(wink)

I CAN SEE THE FLOOR;

Hello there Friends; hope you all had a great weekend. It is very windy here,,,, very windy… I am not use but I thought I saw Dorothy and Toto fly by…. I gave them a wave… she was to busy to visit…. maybe next time….

Well I was doing some work over the weekend in my sewing room,,,,,,, oh i love that word,,,,,, my room… sigh……….. any way I can see my floor now,,,,, yeah… I love this room there is so much of it.. I took a few photos to show you the little that I did do…. OK remember I said, I did a little to it……

No this is not the after photo,,,,,, this is the before,, remember this one,,,, it is like a craft store blew up…. lol

Ok so you really can’t see the floor but trust me it is clear…. I had these curtains for years so I used them in my room. In the window on the left it has a lace valance on the bottom half,, I still have to put up the other one… I love these curtains, but they are too short, I will look for longer ones later….. but for now they work great….

My desk and creative area,, like sewing, painting, scrap booking,,,cutting out my patterns…. I still need to get a office chair….

Love my walk in closet,,,,,, I am going to find some great storage things to make it more organized… I bought a over the door shoe bag for my paints brushes and things… it works great….

This is on a wall in the kitchen,,,, the iron shelf I found a GW and it is really heavy… I put my Rooster small lamp tray that Vanessa sent me in a swap… my sweet little Fairy watches over it all…. oh am my Angle found her at the GW too…. I really need to make a trip back again…

I hung this print over by the fridge.. I really love this one,,, it reminds me of Italy…. I bought this at Hancock's Fabrics back home….. it is a good size…

My little area for my all my Favorite Teas… I have just a few more to show you,, so hang in there I am almost done….

This is our bedroom… love how big it is,, the door to the right is the master bath…. We did not put up the bed frame yet we are in bad need of a new mattress and box springs,,, and I want to paint in here first, and don’t want to have to move all that stuff….

This is going to be a cozy setting area for reading, sewing, knitting,, or my laptop… what ever… I need curtains too….

The other side of the bedroom,, the huge walk in closet is to the left… oh and don’t worry,,, the TV and wires will be finding a new home to hide in….. (sorry honey) hehe

This is Hubby’s Great Grandmas painting,,, the frame was made years ago by hubs Dad… it is a large painting,, and in the dinning room there is a wonderful spot for it and my vintage fire place mantle.. it will look so great along that wall…. can’t wait to bring it out here….. Well that is all for now,,, I want to go and look for some paint color for the bed room so I can start painting it….. I am so excited that they will let me paint the walls here…. I am leaving the living room and dinning room the color it is now, a light creamy beige… with white trim, just like the kitchen… since it is all open and so many walls,, that it would be too much for me to do right now… So I am happy just to be able to paint the two bed rooms and bath rooms…. Hello sweet friends; Well we are getting settled in… I have taken a few days to recoup lol my old body is not what it used to be. Today I have done a few things nothing big, hung my curtains which by the way I don’t have enough we have a lot of windows now,,, yeah!!! so I have to go and get some more… I hung a few pretties on the walls.. Lot’s of laundry tons of laundry…..

Now these photos you are about to see, are not pretty, so if some of you don’t have a strong tummy then don’t look……………. it is a messy sight to see. we just brought things in and set it any where and every where…. OK here we go.

This is my new Sewing and Craft room,, and when we have a guest this is where they will sleep… It is a nice size room with a large walk in closet… Love that… I can’t wait to get started on painting it and making it my own. I have not found a color I like yet, this is going to be the last room I will decorate,,, I am going to start on our Bedroom first.

This is the other side of my room… That is my Mom’s first sewing machine.. I remember when she bought it form Sears in the 60’s,,, it still works too,,, it just need some tender loving care.. I used to sew on it all the time, the feed dogs need work and some other things.. I want to get it running it is a great machine to sew with, it has some cams with different sewing styles love the cams.. and it make a mean button hole….

I am standing in the dinning room so we are looking in the kitchen,,, it is not big but it is just right for me… Love the lay out of it…

OH dear dirty dishes… oh please don’t look…

This is my laundry room…. ooooooooooooohhhhhhh no look at all that laundry,,,, I warned you that it was not going to be pretty…… sorry…… are you all right. hope so…. I am going to paint this little room too and make it pretty… Can you see my Ironing board??? in between the washer and dryer??????? that was my Mom’s too,, I have not idea how old it is,, but I remember when I was little watching her iron our clothes on it….. and that was so so so so so so many yrs ago….lol

Looking into the dinning room and living room area’s oh look Isabella is looking at me as if to say,,,,, “ Mommy you are really not going to show every one this mess” the room is much larger then it looks… love it… so much space…. yippy yippy…

This door leads out to our balcony, love being able to be out side again… where we were we did not have a place to sit out side, unless we walked to the club house…..

Our view as we sit on our balcony…. can’t wait till the Magnolia's bloom and they plant gorgeous flowers again, and the trees get their leaves some are flowering ones…. so the view is not too bad… I so can’t wait to get started on fixing up my patio… I have so many ideas running around in my head.. I can just see where all our things are going to go when we bring back the rest of our things….. Well I hope you did not get scared too much with my messy photos….. I would feel so bad if any of you did…. I will keep you all up dated as I go.. I am thinking of a sage green for our bed room, I love that color… the trim is all ready painted a creamy white so I won’t have to paint that….. not sure about the master bath yet….. so many things to think about.. but I do love it…..

OH SO TIRED;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

Well we are all moved in finally…… But we are really really sore,,, I did not know how much we had in our one bedroom apt… Wow and that is not even all of it,, we still have our things back home to bring out… But we are not ready to haul it back here yet….. Moving is hard enough, but having to carry every thing up 4 flights of stairs is not fun… But the good thing is my legs, hips thighs and bottom are getting a great work out…

If that keeps up I will be able to crack a walnut with my *&%$&,,, know what I mean…. lol; So I am getting some much needed rest, and unpacking a little bit at a time… We are loving it here in our new home… I took some photos of the chaos, to show you how much room we have… I am still thinking of paint colors for the bed rooms and bathrooms…. I will be doing a post on the before photos in a few days… and hopefully have some colors to share with you, I might need some help in picking one….. So until next time God Bless;

WE ARE MOVING THIS WEEKEND!

Good evening Dear Friends. We are excited about our new larger Apt.. but not about all the moving….. again. At least we don’t have as much to move and not far to go…. I will be doing some moving tomorrow morning while Hubby is at work. So I will be off for the weekend. But I will make sure I take lots of photos to show you our new place.. It is a nice size for an Apt.. Lot’s of walls to paint and decorate… I thank you all for your very sweet comments,,, and taking the time to stop by… My Prayers are with so many in need in Hattie… God Bless them…. and you dear friends.
