HAPPY ST. PADD’YS DAY,,, AND HAPPY SPRING DAY!!!!

Hello there; sweet blog friends… I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Spring like day,,,, at least I hope it is where you are…. Here I am enjoying some lovely warm sunny weather…. I have been out taking some photos to share with you,,, my bulbs are really popping up.. and my weeping pea tree is in full bud…. I hope we won’t get a nasty frost and kill most of them off..  

  Where I work has laid some of us off the next week,,, which I am not happy about,, but then on the other hand I can really get in some much needed spring cleaning in my home,, and yard…. just wish I was getting a pay check for it….. oh well….  any way on with my photos….

 

This is my Clematis that is growing up my patio post.. it is huge,,,, can you see the green?????? I can’t wait till it is in full bloom,, it is so beautiful….

 

My Weeping Pea tree,,, she is full of tiny buds just waiting to burst open…… she is just beautiful with her tiny white flowers dripping down everywhere….I just wish they would stay longer before she puts on her green show…

Now last year my Tulips did not do very well, but it seems that this year they are feeling much better,, I can’t wait to see what color they are,,, been so long I forgot….lol………………………

MY Hydrangea plant that is in my huge green pot is starting to bud out… I have two in this pot…. I am thing of moving them to side of the garage in a few weeks,, I need something pretty there,,,,, and then plant something else in this pot….hmmmmmmmmmmm but what,,, any ideas?????

My Lavender is doing so wonderful,,there are two plants here,, that seem to have grown together a bit,,, I am going to dig them up and move them to the side yard as well,,, I think they will be beautiful there,, I have four plants,, they put out such a show,, and then I dry the buds,,, the sent is so amazing,,,, and when you brush them when walking by you can smell the lavender…love it….

Just look at these little beauties…. my Hyacinths,, they seem to have doubled from last year…. again I can’t remember what color they are,,,, I really need to make some plant markers….

Look at all my babies just waiting to grow up,,, wish they lasted longer as well…. the sent is so heavenly… don’t you think…………………………….

I was trying to get a nice close up of one of her pretty buds but sadly it did not work out…. but it is sort of pretty…. I am not really great with a camera… but I do try……   We dear friends I hope you enjoyed my Spring Bud show….. I will be taking lots more as they pop out more,, and of the moving of some plants…. I really want to start on my Rose garden this Spring as well,, that will be a work in progress,,, which means slow going….lol  but a true labor of love,, I have always wanted one,,,,

STILL AROUND,,,,,, SORT OF…..

 

Thought I had do a quick post,, have not done one in a while…. but I am still here, and I do stop by to visit you when I can….  I am working 3rd shift now, so most of my time is sleeping,,,lol till trying to get used to it.. not easy… 

  I so love to stop by as see what you all have be up to, with you lives and home decorating projects.. I am sorry to say I have not had the energy to do much here,, I do have lots to do though.. I am thinking of hosting a painting party with some friends,, so I can get my family room painted….. with help it would not take long at all……  now just have to talk my friends into it….lol  I will have to bribe them with a lovely lunch,,,  any why that is about it…. My sweet baby Chloe Isabella is doing fine,, she is so full of energy she wares me out…lol but I do love having a doggie again…..

I am sooooooooooooooo looking forward to Spring, I have some plants to move .. my Lavender plants will be moved to the side of my garage,, they will look gorgeous there,,, and my purple cone and yarrow need to be divided as well as my others…. I so miss getting my hands in the dirt….. oh and then there is my Rose garden to start,,have big plans for that area.. I will make sure I take photos to share…..  guess that is about it for now,,, I know a boring post, sorry I will try to do better next time….. have a great week dear blog friends’  God Bless

HAPPY NEW YEAR, TO YOU ALL

  I have a new baby girl,,,,,, doggie that is……  she is so darn cute.. I have not yet taken photos of her,, but I will be soon so I can show her off too you all……  Her name is Chloe Isabelle……..  I know what you are all thinking,,,,,,, our sweet Shelia from Note Songs has a sweetie named Chloe Dawn…….. kind of barrowed the name,, I love the name and it fits her so well…  she is 2months and one wk..old,,,, and very feisty….

MERRY CHRISTMAS; TO ALL MY LOVELY BLOG FRIENDS;

Hello dear friends.  I hope you are all enjoy the Christmas season…. I have been busy,, but I am still here.. I have been doing some blog hopping and peeking to see what you have all be up to and Wow you have all been busy little elves decorating your beautiful homes for Christmas….  I only have a few photos to share,,,, this time,,, my two grand kids,,, Zach and Madison helping me decorating the tree,,,, they had sooooooo much fun….  I took a few in black an white,,, so love the look….  ok on with the show..

I BET YOU ALL THOUGHT I DROPPED OFF THE FACE OF THE BLOG……..

  Hello dear friends; I am so sorry for not keeping up with my blogging,,,, or paying you all visits… but I have been so busy I have just not had the time too. I did finally get a job,,, and it is on 2nd shift,, a lot of hrs too. So between my new grandbaby and my job I hardly have time to sit……

  I just wanted to drop in to say hello and I do miss you all very much, I hope that this weekend I can make some rounds to visit some of you,,, with fall here I am anxious to see all the fall decorating every one has done….. I was able to get some of mine out,,, a few weeks ago I made the first fire of the season it was so cozy,,,but sadly I had to work that Sat. and could not enjoy it for long….  We went from 80’s to 40’s,,, and lots of rain,,, I have not been able to rake my leaves because of all the rain… I do love this time of year,, it is my favorite time… then spring…. which brings me to my gardening,,,, I have not had the time to do that either,,,, ;(  I am gong to move my huge lavender plants to the side of my garage  they will have more room and it will looks so pretty there,, they would get more sun too… I have not gotten to my Rose garden yet either,,, I have my trellis ready to put up,,, but work gets in the way,,,,, but I am making my own money and paying my own way,,,, and that feels so wonderful,,it is not the job I had hoped for, but a job is a job and I get paid… So I can buy some pretties once in awhile….hehe   

So sweet friends that is about all right now,,, I will try to get to my posting again,,,,, and some decorating photos,,,,, I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful  Autumn with all the beautiful colors, and smell’s………………….  take care and God Bless;

ONE HOT & HUMID RAINY DAY;

Hello and good afternoon to all my sweet blog friends. I hope you are having a great week so far… We are still having some hot and very humid days… so working out side is not in the cards for me… and for that reason I bring you this post…. In the above photo is the bifold doors they lead to a soon to become pantry for me… the door next to it is the one that leads to my garage.. I have been wanting to redo this area for quit some time but never got around to it,,,,, until now, so this is the before photo. OK I have lots of before photos, it is still a work in progress.

Since there are a lot of slats I decided to use my grey spray paint primer on it… I did some sanding before I used the spray paint,,wanted to make sure the new paint would stick..

First coat of paint…

So far so good…. I had to put three coats on so the dark stain would not show through.

OK this is with all three coats of my creamy white paint, it is called muslin. from wal mart. as you can see I still have the trim to paint and the garage door will be painted the same color.

Well after I woke up on Sat. I was standing there looking at my work, and I thought Hey why not take the ugly old wall paper down……  at the time I thought it was a good idea…..

Oh this is a dark brown stain color peg shelf… which I will be painting the same white, but she will be going in my dinning room… so this is for a later post.  So on with the ripping of the wall paper.

I was so excited when it was coming off really easy……………… buttttttttttt that feeling did not last too long….

as I was peeling, I found out that the backing was not coming off… the one with the glue on it…… Bummer…..

The yellow color is the back of the wall paper… it was not coming off with out a fight…. then when I was able to get a few spots off, the wall behind it was not in good shape,,, and I would have to have tore that off, and put drywall,, which I don’t have the money for… so I decided to leave the nasty yellow backing on,,, As I sat and looked at the mess I made,,,,and I do mean mess.

 

I am so sorry for the dirty photos,, I hope I have not shocked any of you…..  for such a small space I sure made a mess.   So  while sitting there staring at the mess I knew that I really didn’t want to paint it, or use wall paper again… which would cost money,, and I had to use what I already had here…. so this is what I came up with….. so far. anyway.

I went through all my pretty papers and found some that would go with what I had in mind…..

I be ya’ll know where I am headed here… am I right??? 

Yup…. I am going to use these for my wall…. I am not sure if I have enough but I am going to go look for some old books and see what they have inside I can use… 

So my dear talented lady friends,, what do you think of my idea???  I would so love to hear what you all think,,, please feel free to disagree too, and share some ideas of your own… I welcome all ideas…. as I said this is a on going project,,, I will be taking photos as I go to share my progress…. 

OH>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. now did you really think I would let you all off the hook and not show off my new grandson. Rylan…   this was on Saturday late afternoon, that is my baby boy Dustin holding he brand new nephew,, with his two cuties Zachary and Madison,,, and new Mommy not far away…… oh and Shelby,,, my baby girls dag,, which the call Nanny Shelby.. she is never too far away from her baby brother…. making sure he is safe and sound… she is such a great big sister….

OK I am a happy boy now,, I am fed and have a dry diaper, so I will take my nap now….. good night all.

WELCOME RYLAN MASON,,,,,,,

My daughter finally gave birth to her fist baby on Monday evening. She was amazing, I was so proud of her.. for having her first baby she went really fast… which we were all so happy about…… the delivery was just perfect…. they were a little worried because he had already did his thing before he came out so they had two repertory RN’s from the NICU. there to suck out his lungs,,, but all is well with baby and mommy.

  Now I will show you some more photos of my new angle…. oh that is Mana,me with  Rylan….

This is the first birth of a grandchild that I was able to witness… it was so amazing to be able to watch the absolute Miracle of birth,,,, How great our Lord is…I will carry that memory with me for the rest of my life. truly a gift from God,,, Rylan was so tiny his clothes were so big,, his little hat kept falling over his little face…. his arms kept coming out of the sleeves…  I am so in love with this little man,,,, now you all know that I will be doing a lot of posting about this handsome guy here with tons of photos…lol  but I will try to hold back a bit.. so I don’t bore you all….. lol
