Too many projects, and not enough time;

Good evening ladies,,, I hope your Memorial week end was a sunny and full of family fun.. I am so happy that we are having warm and sunny days. We had been getting so much rain, I was going to have a small lake in my back yard,,,, my grass really did some major growing too.  Any way, I have so many things that I want to do,, but I just don’t have enough time, or hands. I am on the home stretch with the baby quilt, I did get a few photos to share with you…. The baby shower is coming up soon it is on Sat June 11… and I have tons of things to get done….wheeewwwww  with my class at night for three hrs,, it is hard for me to get things done… oh well enough of that nonsense…

  I am so behind on my blog again,,,, oops sorry girls,,, I do miss you all so much… so I am going to make time at least twice a week to do some visits to you all.. I can’t wait to see all the gorgeous summer decorating you are all doing… OK on with the quilt photos…

This is the finished top with out the borders on… I was so worried about all the fabrics coming together,,,, and I was so excited to see it just flow together…. wink,,,,

  The browns and tans are a perfect match for the Nursery … I can’t wait to see it in there,,,, and don’t you worry I will be taking a lot of photos…. so show you…

Just a few close up shots so you can see the different fabrics… sewing all those 2 1/2 in strips together was not fun…. but it did come out pretty darn good,,, I forgot how many different fabrics I have,,, hmmmm should count them some time…. or maybe you would like to….. sort of like a jar filled with jelly beans and guess how many are in there…..ok got of track,,,, getting back on now…

I had to get a photo of it in the bassinet,,,still with out borders,,, it looks so pretty with it…. the colors are perfect……. yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh….. I am getting better at this ladies….

This is Little Guys bassinet,,,, I have it at my house I am hosting the shower… I can’t wait to see little guy in it….. not much longer,,, she is due July 15 but I think she will go early,, both of my kids were early so maybe she will take after me….

AWWWWWW don’t ya just love this little guy,,, he is so cute……………………………

Here are the three borders for the quilt,,and the binding..

Yeah!!!!!!! the borders are on,,,, not it is laying on my clean kitchen floor,, to start pining it all down…. my back is not going to happy with me later….

I like to use small safety pins, then hold better and I don’t get stuck all the time…..ouch…..

OK now I am ready to do some quilting……  OH NO,,,,, Iam out of white thread,,,, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…. the backing is a soft white flannel….I like to use white you don’t really see it much,, but you can still see the quilting part…. so I will have to run to Wally world and get some white sewing thread….. darn……  so I decided to do sewing on little stuffed pillows filled with my dried lavender,,, mmmmmmm I love the smell of lavender,,,, as a gift for every one for sharing in my Daughters big day… I have little boxes to decorate and and put in a scented tea light and yummy candy in side…  does that sound good??? 

Here is the goodie boxes that I am giving away,,, and the fabric for the pillows… oh and Heathers little boy ribbon pin,,, I am going to make it look a lot better….

I love all these different pink fabrics,,, they are left over from another Quilt… so I did get them sewed before I left for class,,, so I am going to do some stuffing when I get done here…. I will be taking photos to show you all how every thing turned out….

THE BABY NURSERY……

 

 

Happy Monday ladies….. I hope your Mothers day weekend was a joyful one..Mine was so wonderful,, after Church my two sweet children too me to lunch then to Home Depot to let me pick out some plants for my yard,,,,,, I just loved it…… 

Today is a gorgeous day,,, sun is out and the birds are singing….. I hope you are all having the same kind of day…….  OK I went to help my baby girl with the nursery….  that is my baby girl in the photo by Little Guys crib…. she is 7months along but only looks about 5. Is she not  beautiful or what,,,,,,, but then I am her mom….hehehe  any way I took some photos of the babies room to share… but I forgot my camera… I know shame on me ,,, a “blogger” with out her camera,,,, so I had to use my phone. So with that said here is the Nursery…

We found this at Baby’s R Us… the colors are perfect for the room… My son in law Paul did the nursery himself,, he did a wonderful job,,, cleaned painted and put down new carpet as well,,,,,, the walls are a cream color with chocolate brown strips, the room is stunning….  She did not want to do a one theme one, so this style he will grow with… ok enough on with the show.

 

I just love these,,,, they look like they were painted one, but they are like stickers that you can remove and move around. Love it and the colors are perfect….

I just had to take some photos of the booties,,, they are so adorable….. hehe

The closet,,, with some out fits….. I am so happy to finally see that little boys are getting some really cute things, not just girls….

This is my favorite one,,,, this is the first outfit Heather bought months ago….. from Baby’s R Us.. I love that store….

Changing table the furnisher is a dark cherry,,, again perfect for the room…..

Saturday we found the bedding at,,,,,,,,,,,,, where else… Babies R Us…..  hmmmmm starting to see a pattern here……. are you?

Don’t you just love these little bear’s,, so so cute….

I wish I could have taken some wider shots,, so you could see more of the walls,,, so when I can make it over again I will take my camera,,,, they still have a bit more to do, but it is really coming along… It won’t be long and he will be here, July is coming up fast… I am so excited I can’t stand it,,,hehehehe…..

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL MY BLOGGING FRIENDS…..

Good after noon Ladies;  I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your weekend…. I have been so  busy, that I can’t seem to get to my blog.. I so miss you all, I spent most of the day in my garage doing some much needed cleaning,, we have our Spring clean up tomorrow so I have been taking things to the curb. So I am taking a break and thought of you . I really must find more time to visit you and see what every one is up too. I am getting things ready for my front yard make over, that is really going to take awhile. I will take before photos, and will be sharing my progress,, it will be a slow progress since I am doing it by myself.  I have been digging out my garden magazines and books to get some ideas, I do have a theme in mind, I just hope it comes out that way….. I an going for the English garden look.. so wish me luck.

So for now I want to Wish you all a very Happy Mothers Day this weekend…  May your day be filled with the Love of the Lord and family… God Bless;

Good Afternoon Friends.

 

Well it seems that I am behind on my blog visits shame on me….. My days are busy these days,, and my evening are spent going to classes for three hrs….for 4 nights a week… never thought I would love to go back to School, but I do… I find it is easier learning now then it was when I was younger..oh and I can even remember it all too,,

  The weather here is getting warmer but we have been getting lots of rain, so my yard work has been put on hold… I do have some bulbs popping up and my Weeping Pea Tree is going to flower soon,,, I can’t wait to see it.. When it is in full bloom it looks like white cotton on the limbs….  This year I am going to put all my energy in my front yard,, it needs a lot of help… So I will be digging and hauling bags of dirt,,,, and hopefully plant some gorgeous plants…. and pray they live….*wink*  And since I don’t’ have the time like I used to have, my veggie garden is going to be my Rose garden, I have always wanted one and it is the perfect spot to put it.  OH and my pool is going to have to taken down, booooo it decided to split and collapse on one side,, well it is more saggy then collapsed,,, but it does have to come down most of the water is out, so my Son and some of his friends from work are going to take it all down for me…..hopefully by May 7th which is our clean up week, and they will haul it away for me for free,,,,,, pretty cool….

So now that my pool has to be gone my deck has to taken down, it is really not useful with out the pool, so my Daughter suggested I put a fire pit there with some seating,, so that is what I am going to do… So many things and so little time,and money to get them done….. so just going to take one project at a time… and move on to the next….

My Daughter is almost 7months now, but she only looks like 5 months… she is doing great. I am in the planning stages of her baby shower, we have be going to some stores to register that is so fun….. They are working on the nursery painting it and new carpet,,, I will make I take photos to share with you,,,, still sewing on the baby quilt,, I will be showing you all the progress soon, it is turning out pretty cute…. and all the colors match the babies room….

Princess's On Ice……. loved it……

Good evening all; I hope you are all enjoying your week. We are finally getting some warmer days…. Yeah!!!!!  Well so much for me getting my post’s on my blog more often….. I have been busy, I am going to class at night to brush up on a few things….. so that keeps me busy in the evenings. And during the day I am just puttering around,,, sewing the baby quilt for my daughter’s little bundle of joy,,,,,, she is doing great and Little Guy is really kicking up a storm…. she is loving every minute of it….. and I am too…..wink…… 

  I have also started knitting a blanket too,, three colors, light blue, soft yellow, and off white,, it is looking so pretty…. not a fancy knitter but it does not fall apart….. so that is good….lol;  I still have not been able to do much by the way of decorating my home,,, Yet!  but I will be getting into it soon….

Ok  a few weeks ago my daughter Heather and I took our Princess Madison, (my granddaughter) to see Princess’s on Ice…. I have never ever  been to any thing like this before. so needless to say I was just as excited as Madison was….

Queen Mamaw and Princess Madison…. we dressed her like Cinderella who she adores…… she had pink sparkly shoes…. and pink gloves with white fur… but she took off the gloves.. I have never seen so many little Cinderella’s before,,,,, and with a few other Princess’s here and there,,,, but the most popular was Cinderella… of course.  ok ok more photos,,, I did my best to get some good ones from where we were….

Oh look Aladdin with the genie…. I was so amazed at how great the skated with all the costumes they had to ware….. the special effects were so wonderful…

Ok back on track…… when Aladdin came out on his elephant,,,, it was nuts….. not sure how they did it, but the elephant was on skates and doing a darn good job…

This is my favorite photo,,,, when Aladdin and Jasmine went on the flying carpet it really looked like they were flying…..gosh I have so many photos,,,, to show, don’t know what to show,,, guess I will have to do a two part post….. but you all can’t wait for that…… **wink**

 

OH look it is Bell and Beast….. how sweet they were…. so are you still with me????? and are you having fun???

Princess Madison with her Mee Mee.. they had a break in the show here, so they could get ready for the final act…. I am trying to find Snow White and the 7 dwarfs. It is hard to see who is who….hehe but I will find them…

No these are not the dwarfs,,,, hang on…. ok

Getting closer,,, this is Sleeping Beauty and the little fairies… Ok one more photo and I will stop and show you the rest on another post…. and I promise that I won’t take as long…

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  look what I found….. hehehehehehe………. I know it took me long enough…. I love these guys…. so so cute…. hmmmmmmmmmmmm don’t see Snow White….. well don’t you worry I will find her…..

Remember Me??????

Good afternoon; Yes dear friends it is me,,,,,, the missing Cottage Rose... I have missed you all so much this past few months, so I hope some of you still remember me...lol;

With out being a downer post I will keep this short,,, (I hope),,,, Many changes have been made in my life,,,, staring with last summer. I am now a single woman again,, or what the new name is a displaced housewife,,,,, don't like that one much,,, makes me sound like I was lost... any way needless to say it has been a long and ruff journey for me... but with the help of the Lord who is so amazing and his perfect timing as well as loving family, and friends, things are looking up..... yeah! I am back in my home town which is a wonderful thing,, except for all the nasty cold and snowy days, it is nice to be home again.

During a most difficult day last year,,, the Lord with His perfect timing of course,,, I found out in a most touching way that my oldest daughter is having her first baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been waiting for so so long for that day, that I never thought it would happen.... last Monday we found out she is having a boy,,, they wanted a girl since they have two boys already,,, but he will be so loved , she is due in July but I think he will show up early,, from all the movement he was doing in the ultrasound he is going to be a real stinker... all is perfect with him Praise the Lord..

Well this did go where I wanted it to go,,,,,, I guess I have to learn my how to's all over again..... but this is his first photo,,,, he is facing down,, this is at two months..... is he handsome or what.......

So I am going to busy sewing up his quilt, planning a Huge baby shower for them....

Now I am still with out a job and looking for one is not as easy as it used to be,,, I am not with out skills,, jobs are just hard to find,,, but I have faith in the Lord and he will bring me the one that is perfect for me.

Now I have to do a lot of catching up with all of you,,, and see what everyone is up too,,,,I have not done much in the way of decorating yet... but with spring starting to sprout finally I am in the mood to redo my family room,,, paint it a lighter color..... and helping my daughter fix up the nursery.... that will be such fun.... will make sure I post photos to share with you all..... next Sat. we are having a baby day of shopping,,,,, can't wait......

Gosh I feel like I have to get to know you all again,,,, and you me,,,,,, but when you think about it,, I am a new Woman..... I really look forward to hearing from you all,,, and look for me in your comments because I will be there......So until next time God Bless;

Hello there dear friends; I have so missed my blog and all of you. I have been doing some drive byes, or maybe blog byes…..  I have been seeing so many Beautiful Christmas homes,, you al have been really busy….  I will be back to my blogging again after the first of the year,, so much to tell and so much going on….
