Good afternoon; I bet you thought I fell of the mountain,,,,,,,,, well I didn’t I was feeling under the weather. But doing better today.. We have been having some really wonderful fall day’s,, some have been cloudy with rain, but love it anyway… I get a chance to open the windows and let in all that fresh air listen to the birds, and the Airplanes going over head…. lol
We had such a lovely time, the town of Blowing Rock is just amazing… so quaint and small with all these beautiful shops to investigate.. The day was just perfect, sunshine with temps in the low 60’s when we arrived we found out that there was a Craft and Art Fair going on, I was very excited when I heard that…. There were about 100 tents packed with the most amazing art and crafts.. Ok I will stop talking a show a few photos,, I took so many so this will be a two part post,,, so you are just going to have to stop by again to see the Mountain of Blowing Rock…. this is just the sweet little town..
They had them all set up behind the Park, just look at the beautiful blue sky….
This tent had the most beautiful Cups Bowls, and Plates,, don’t you just love this water fountain,,, it looks like something from Alice in wonder land…..
They had quite a few of them with wonderful Art,, some painted, some water colors, and prints… I found a Santa Clause, it was a small one and I just had to have it… it needs a frame and matting, I just have to fine the right one…
If you look in the right side in the back top that is the print I bought but smaller… The pretty lady in the hat is the artists,, she is very good at what she does.. Some were made with 3d effects, just stunning…
This gentleman was blessed with such a talent,,, I don’t know who he was, but he paints the most beautiful Paintings just by using his mouth to hold the paint brush… Click on the photos to make the bigger to get a better look at them…
We is working on a brick wall, the sunshine kept me from getting a good photo….
The park is so pretty, and they had lots of things for the children to play on,,, even a small rock wall… Lots of benches to just sit and people watch…
The flowers and plants around the town were just so pretty,,, this poor lady was trying so hard to stay out of the shot,,,, lol I felt so bad for her..
The hanging baskets around the town were planted so pretty with such wonderful fall plants… I did not want to leave….
In this shop they had they most yummy smelling candles,,, we bought a pine one, saving it for Christmas… don’t you just love the cute little side streets… hope you are not getting board yet… but I want you to be able to see the whole town,,, well most of it any way…..
This is the town Museum so cute,,, I don’t know why we did not go in…. silly hun….
OK hang in there, just a few more photos then I am done… :) The gentleman who had this booth make hand blown ornaments and things…. they were such a great buy I had to have one for my tree…. see the multi color one down on the left side of the solid yellow one,,,,,,, that is the one I bought,, it is very heavy and a good size…. He had a orange one that looked like a pumpkin now I wish I would have bought that one too….
Some of his other art pieces.. just loved them all. I was so wore out that day,, and so was poor hubby.. We rode the Trolley to the town from the parking lot of a shopping store… so we did not have to look or pay for parking…. The town reminds me of one back home in IND. called Nashville,, in Brown County,,, it was like being back home… We are looking forward to going back up their when the leaves start to change… It will be beautiful then with all the oranges browns gold’s reds’ and such…. Well ladies I hope you enjoyed out day at Blowing Rock, tomorrow I will show you photos of the Mountain, Blowing Rock,,, what a gorgeous place…
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend,,, I am trying to make it to all of your blogs,,, I have found some many great ones, it takes me awhile to get to you… And when I don’t I feel really awful to have passed you,,, but I will be by,,, I don’t want to leave any of you out.. I just love all the wonderful and inspiring blogs out there,, So until tomorrow;;; God Bless;
Hugs;s

Hi Aluara! Oh, I love this! What a precious place to go! I've tried two times to leave you a comment this afternoon, but Mr. Precious called me away both times. Now he's in bed and I've come back! :)

Well hello there again...it is so nice to hear from you again. I lost touch with you when you and hubby we're going through a hard time. I am so glad to see you made it through. You sure are pretty. I don't know why but I had thought you lived in the Northwest Oregon or Washington. But you are all the way on the other coast. Looks like you are enjoying Autumn...it has just begun here.
What a lovely trip you had. I enjoyed seeing all of the photos.
Oh my goodness, I want to move to NC. Do you love it? My husband and I talk about this all the time. In the meantime, I'll live through your blog:-) Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos!
