Good evening Ladies. I hope every one had a wonderful weekend. Mine went pretty well, I doggie sat for my daughter's little fur baby Duke. I call him by grand doggie he was soooo missing his mommie. But he did pretty well and was a good boy. Any way then my other daughter Chas and the girls stopped by for a quick visit and to get some tomatoes, I have sooooooooo many of them. So I gave her lots and lots.
Well for this post I have decided to talk about my craft studio, and the mess I keep making. It seems that no matter what I do I can never keep it organized. I do have some photos, I am so embarrassed to show them but I will.
Not this is my work table and sewing table, it is our old dinning room table which works great, I can sew at one end and paint and what ever at the other end, when I have the room. lol:]
I moved the table on to another wall and it made more room for me to put my stuff all over the place. All I seem to do is move one pile to an other pile, and then I really think I made it look better, now how is that possible. I mean do I have a blank spot in my brain that does not allow me too see the real picture. Or am I just stupid. Oh well, I bought some storage on wheels so I could get my fabric up off the floor under my table, which is not there cos I moved it before the photo.
Now as you can see for this photo I am moving things around, I am also trying to put together a Victorian Doll House, I had to put it up for now, it was driving my nuts!!!!
When I look through the magazines and see others craft studios or their office's they look so beautiful, so what I want to know is do they really work in there or do the have them fixed up for the photo shoot... If the later is true, I want someone to come and fix up mine. ha ha Just kidding. I would love to have my studio look as beautiful as theirs, and work in it. I just need better storage and not make a huge mess when I am working, I seem to use every thing I have when I am working. Like today, I am painting some roses on a piece of slate, and boy did I make a mess. I think I had every kind paint color out, and towels, water my coffee and a pop. I got thirsty. The room has a closet in it and my computer desk is in their, hubby uses it too, but I can't blame the mess on him, darn it.
So I will just keep on trying to make my craft studio a more productive place to gather my artistic out let. When I do get it like some you see in a magazine, I will show you. Now that my be a very long time. ha ha ha So I will say goodnight to all, and say Thank you all for the comforting comments you all left. I am so grateful for such caring friends as you all are. I hope every one has a wonderful week. God Bless
Hugs;
Alaura

Hi, Alaura! You know, I understand completely! I have a room called my 'scrap room'. I love to scrapbook but couldn't because of all my junk around. My little room started out so very neat and then slowly the other things started moving in. I buy things and kinda hide them in there you know how it goes. One day I'll get in and try to get it organized again. It makes you feel good when it's organized, but life happens. Oh, remember a creative person is not always a neat person. I like that one. Thanks for coming by and meeting Edra! I'm loving that gal!
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Alaura:
I'm smiling as I read this post and view your studio. My office space seems to be getting more and more disorganized the more I try to clean it up! I keep moving piles from one location to another and never seem to
have an organized look!Ahh..perhaps you'll inspire me!
BTW..stop by my site as I will be posting from Europe..any requests?
P.S...a neighbor will be collecting my mail so don't worry about Honey.
Alaura,
I came over from Rhoda's blog to say, "hi" and thanks for your nice comments about our Victorian in St. Augustine. :-D
I am SO envious of your crafts room. What I wouldn't give to have one just like it!
Take care and have a nice evening,
Sheila
Hi Alaura!! I know just what you mean. My craft area is AWFUL! And I am such a neat freak, lol! It doesnt make sense. But I cant seem to keep it clean!
Hugs,
Amy
Now you'll need to show us some of the projects you've finished in this room.
I WISH I ahad a craft room! I have to drag everything out on our kitchen table and then put it up again, EVERY time I want to do something! So messy or not, how nice to have a room to contain everything in!
I have a room that has my computer and scrapbook supplies in it. Once it looked very nice. I think my problem is that I have too much junk and not enough places to put it all LOL!
I think a messy craft room/studio is a sign of a creative mind :)
take care,
Dawn

Hi Alaura!
First of all, that is a beautiful name. Second, thanks so much for your visit to BellaDella. I am so excited you stopped by. I am reading through your blog now and thoroughly enjoying myself. I will add you to my favorites as soon as I leave here.
I wish I could come over and help you with your lovely craft studio. I am sort of weird like that. I LOVE to clean and organize. I see your room and it makes me want to get in there so bad! :) I'm telling you, strange. And by the way...I wish I had a room just for that sort of stuff. I am envious!!!
Thanks again for stopping by. Have a great night!
Hugs,
Kim
Hi Alaura,
Don't worry, my paint room/studio is always a mess. I hope to someday have the whole (tiny) room to myself. Right now my husband's office is in there too. He is planning on taking our son's room as soon as we feel comfortable that he is not moving back in. He, our son, gets his masters in December and then I hope to start decorating and organizing my mess!
