HOW PUMPKIN PIE’S ARE MADE….

hello there! I have a very funny photo to share with you all. my sweet sister sent this to me and I just have to share it with you all. now some of you will rethink about your favorite pie this thanksgiving,,, i know i did… ok are you ready???????????????? this is so not right on so many levels… and the photo was to be below not above, not sure why it did not follow,,oh well.. lol  i am not sure i can eat my pie with out thinking of this photo…hehe,,,,,,   i pray for all of you dear friends of mine to have a joyous thanksgiving next week,,, please take time to hug each and every one of your children and family member, friend.. give thanks to our lord for all the blessing’s he has bestowed upon us, i am so great full to be able to make the trip back home to see my family,,,, we are having a very full house this year,, it has been a long time since that has happened,,, so i praise the lord for that…

I thank you all for you sweet comments you left me, I Praise the Lord for your friendship too…   So from my family to yours  A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL.

A HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL;

Good evening dear friends;  I know I am early but I just want to Wish each and every one of you a Happy Thanksgiving.. We are getting ready to make our trip back home,,, I am so excited to see every one.. this time we have a whole week with them… :) 

Even in hard time’s we still have so much to be Thankful for,,, The Unending Love of Our Lord, I am so thankful for that most of all. He has been there so many many times for me and my family,, to give us courage, hope, strength, too guide us back when we tend to leave the path he has laid before us… He has Blessed me with a wonderful and kind loving Man who loves the Lord as much as I do… We have been both Blessed with 4 children,, and as hard as it has been with the loss of our Sweet April Dawn; 8yrs ago.. we were so blessed to have had her in our lives as long as we did, we Praise the Lord for that….   We have two very kind sweet loving, daughter’s and a son,, they have given us sweet grandbabies… 11 of them,,,,,(they can quit now). We are so Thankful for them…

I am so Thankful for my Extended family as well… I have the Best Mother in Law any one could ask for.. She is so willing to lend a hand not matter what it is, she lives for her Children and the Lord,, her strength comes from him, and when you see her you can see it in her face.My Step Father in Law,,, I really don’t think of him like that and neither does Honey Bunny,, any way  Jr. is always there to help any way he can,,, he can fix just about anything,,,he very rarely says no, and will jump when needed.. They are just the best in law’s ever.. I have been missing my Parents very much lately, as well as April,, but I know the Lord is taking great care of them until I can see them again….  I am so very Thankful for You my Dear Friends, who are there for not only me, but for each other,,, even though some of us have not even met, it does not matter,,, for through this blog of mine I feel like I know each of you.. I am so Blessed to have you all in my life in one way or another…. So I thank you all for being my Friend.. as I will always be yours… I  Pray for each of you each day…  I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with you family and friends,,,….  OK now that I have said that,, I want to let you  all know that I did get the Quilt top finished today….. Who knew a 1/2 bottle of Wine and a nerve Pill would do the trick…. hahahahlol;  KIDDING!!! really I am…. 

This is it,, just the Top,,, now when I get back home from our short vacation, I will be quilting the layers together…  But I just had to show you that I did get it all fixed…. boy taking apart 48 squares was not fun,,, but I did it…. When I do get it all done I will be showing you all the steps of making this cute little bear quilt… Sorry if this is long,,,  Have a great night…

I AM STILL HERE OK SORT OF LOL

Hello there; Just a quick hello… Hello;;; ha ha ha,, I have been sewing my bottom off,,, this last few days,, today I hit a bad time with it…. grrrrrrrrrrrr… so I have spent the better part of the day ripping out some blocks,,, I really thought my measuring was right on…… NOT! I don’t do well when I make a mistake,,,, poor hubby he was ready to hide out for the weekend… lol  So I will be MIA for a few days  to get it just right,,, no mess ups with this Baby Quilt,, it has to be perfect… I have been take lots of photos so I will have lot’s to show you .. in a few days… I really want to get the top done before we Leave for home this Saturday,,, Yeah……  and Gosh Darn It,, I am or else……  So I will be talking to you all soon,,, I will be making my rounds to visit you in my evenings off…. SNEAK PEEK;

Good afternoon; Ida is still here and making a mess of things… this morning while walking Isabella the wind blew my umbrella inside out…. that was fun… (smile);  But it is not as bad as some other area’s they are with out power….  OK enough about the weather;  As promised I am going to show a peek of the Baby Quilt I have been working on…  It is coming along just great, and looking pretty good if I do say so myself…  Don’t you love the pin cushion above…. I do,,, and not it is not mine just a photo from my Print Master….  Again I am sorry about not getting around to visit much, but I really want to get as much done on this Quilt before Thanksgiving, I hope to have it done before Christmas… Now on with a few photos…

Sewing all those 48 triangles together to make 24 blocks…. that was not fun to cut out…. But the end results is well worth it…. Poor Isabella  she was even tired just watching me….. OK just one more photo and that’s it,,, sorrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyy…  I know my bad….hehe

This is the finished block called Jacobs Ladder.. I love how all the pretty fabrics flow…  This morning I have been working on the other blocks,, the iron on Teddy Bears.. I have been taking lots of photos along the way…  so when it is finished I can share them with you. So what do you all think??  will it due for a Girl or a Boy?  hope so….  

I have a few more photo’s to share,, but not of the quilt,,,  honey bunny has such a great sense of humor he brought home some left over Halloween candy and just had to do something funny with it.. here I will show you..

He called and had me come out and wanted to know If I felt like if someone was watching me….. he crake’s me up…..  he said he would have put them on top of money but instead used chocolate raisins box…  but before he made this cute little thing,, he said as he pulled them out of his pocket,,, look  I have my Fathers eyes…. I told him to keep his day job……. lol;  Honey Bunny never fails to make me smile and laugh,,, I am so Thankful and Blessed to have him in my life…    

  

I found these cute little salt and pepper pumpkins at the Hallmark store,,, only 5.00.. not bad so they came home with me…  Well that is about it for today,, I have some visiting to do…. FALL PHOTO’S

Good evening to all my dear friends; I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  I am so far behind on my blog visit’s; I really need to to get some catching up to do… I so missed my Pink Saturday visits, but I do plan on making some very late Pink visits…  On a walk a few days ago honey bunny took some fall photos for me,, so I can show you some beautiful color…  I love the color in the above photo… this is around where we live…

Now I know this is not a fall tree,,, but I do love it, the red berries on this holly tree is just beautiful, they have them planted all over here…. It just says Christmas don’t you think!!!

This gorgeous flower is blooming all over,, but I don’t have any idea what it is,, so I am hoping some one out there can tell me what it is… 

OK again I don’t know what these are either,,lol  gosh I just don’t know any thing on this post…. must be my age… ewwww.. hehe; Guess I did not have that many  fall color photos either…. wow what a bummer..  anywhoo….  I have been really busy getting my next Baby Quilt together,, been sewing my finger off… it is coming along really great… Now tomorrow I will show just a peek of it,, I can’t show more than that.. want it to be a surprise for the owner…. I know I am a stinker,, I am taking photos of the progress of each step,, I have cut 24  2 1/2 squares to cut in have to make 48 , then the same thing for a 4 1/2 ,, then make a Jacobs Ladder block,,, whewwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I have never seen so may triangles before,,,, but some how they all came out… I was getting confused, with the fabric, because I forget to mark which one was for what block…. silly me,, but now worries it all came out in the end…. (I hope)  lol;  On Saturday Honey Bunny took me to see the new Scrooge Movie;;; in 3D… loved it… then to a late lunch at the Salsa Cantina in Ayrsely…. so yummy… loved the food… Well ladies that is all for now,, I thank you all for you sweet comments… I will make sure I pop by and get in my visit’s…..  I hope you enjoyed my post…  Tomorrow is sewing day again… Until next time;

PINK SATURDAY IS HERE;

HELLO LADIES; Happy Pink Saturday;  My how the week flew by… I can’t hardly believe that it is Nov. already.. Thanksgiving will be here before we know it….  I hope you all had a wonderful week, the weather has been really beautiful here, and not too cold…(sorry) for those who are having some really cold days…   OK now on too Pink Saturday… I have found on line some beautiful flowers I am going to share this time….  So are you all ready?? of course you are.

Hope you can see them,, kind of blurry,, any way I sort of cheated this time… I have been having a busy week, going to the Dr. getting all the fabric’s cut out for my next baby quilt,, so now I am at the fun part,, sewing them together… Today I went back to the Dr. all is well,, did a little of the quilt,, so that is why my Pink Saturday photo is a cheat one,, sorry about that… I feel so bad..

Hey look what I found;; I forgot about this one,,, Honey Bunny brought this on his way home from work… I love Pink Hydrangeas. KNIT – A- SQUARE FOR AFRICA;

Good morning Dear Friends;  Before I start on my subject today,,, I want to let you all know that my Dr. visit yesterday went well, not problems, the numbing part was worst part,, but I am doing fine,, I go back on Friday so he can remove the wick…. Thank you all for you Prayers…. I can never say it enough Blog Friends are just the Best Blessing any one could have…..

Now on to may favorite Charity. A dear Blog Friend of mine introduced me to this wonderful cause.. Lisa from Vintage Sweet Peas…  I should tell you a little bit about it first…. I will try not too make this a long one,, lol;

A very Sweet Lady start this wonderful website her name is Sandy McDonald, She is from Australia; I hope I do this cause some justice when doing this post…  Now Sandy’s Aunt Ronda lives in South Africa, she is a lovely woman who Organized some lovely women too put together 8x8 ins. knitted or Crochet squares to make blankets for Orphans and sick children, children who live in caves and don’t trust any one,, but Ronda has a very strong love for this children and women.. 

The Photos I am going to share with you are from a news letter that Sandy sends out too keep us up to date on how things are going with our squares,  so these are from my newest one,, just a few to share all the sweet smiling faces of some who receive blankets..

You can also send out knitted hats and Go Over’s (sweaters),, to keep them warm.. The baby blankets to to new born babies to keep them wrapped in love and keep then warm, and to leave with them when they find a new family…. I can make this a very long  post, but I won’t,,, I do have  one more photo to share… This is a just a few of the packages and boxes full of knitted squares from all over the world…

 

So I am just going to put the link to the website for you to check out…  Knit-A-Square  there you will find the most talented women all over the world, get to know them,, share your squares,,, question’s and answers to some you might be able to help with…  I have been knitting my hands off..lol  I have made some wonderful friendships just like here on my blog….   After reading one of the up dates,, they had some videos to share.. my Heart just over flowed with such love for these women who donate their time sewing all these squares to make blankets…. Something so simple that means not much to us, but it means so Very Much to them….  I will show a few of my Squares…

The photo above is my fall colors I am making a whole baby blanket to send…. A sweet Friend told me once,, that it did not have to be a fancy one,, it would keep a child warm no matter how it looked…. God Bless her… I am not a knitter that can follow a pattern,, just plane knit, as I do in my Crochet…  so please if you love to knit or crochet  please stop by and check out this Wonderful Charity and read and learn more about it… You never know who you will help keep warm..  I have seen ladies Church groups send out over 200,, what a Blessing…. now if you have any trouble with the link please let me know and I will fix it…. JUST A REMINDER;;;;

Now I know I don’t need to really remind any of you that it will Thanksgiving,, soon NOT;  Christmas…. But gosh darn it, every where I look or go I see Christmas every where, some store are even decorating all ready…

Now I love Christmas just as much as the next one,, But really let’s give Thanksgiving it due…  So each day I am going to do a post on one thing I am Thankful for,, OK,,,,,,  maybe not every day,, but when I do post that is what it will be…. I want to share all the wonderful things that the Lord has Blessed my family with,, good times and the bad….  I love the photo of that old Tom Turkey…

Well I have done some resting up for the next Baby Quilt Project…. Today I got all the fabric cut and marked…. not that was not fun,, trying to remember which fabric went with what plan.. but I did get it done,, and  Yes I did take some photos along the way..  So I hope to be starting to do some sewing on it tomorrow,,, I want to get as much done before we go back home for the Holidays..  I won’t be showing any photos of it until I am done…. Sorry ladies…. it is for a very Sweet and dear Friend of ours whom I won’t reveal until it is all finished… She has a blog and I don’t want her to see it until it is done…..   I love secret's don’t you????????  lol 

 

Isn’t this a wonderful old Quilting room…..  so that is what I will be doing for a few weeks,, and if you don’t see me that is why….. But I will make time for you all, I so miss every one when I am away too long….  Now tomorrow I am doing a Post Near and Dear To my Heat… It is called  Knit-A-Square.  I have joined this wonderful origination, well a Charity… the ladies I get to take to are just so amazing and giving with their time, talent and the Love of the Lord,, to help out Orphans and ones who are sick… but that is enough about that… So I hope you will stop by tomorrow and read about these beautiful women who Love to help….  Well I am off to see a Dr. I have a med. sized  lump under my left Breast, and he has to come off…. OK I know that Halloween is over, I had to put up this very cute photo; My Kids sent me photos of my Grand Babies in their out fits… they were so cute..  I so missed them this year…. OK on with the show;;;;;;

This is my Sweet little Madison Lee,, she was a Barbie Cheer Leader, her pomp pomp’s glowed in the dark.. so cute….. she is just 2yrs old, she had a blast..

 

Here is Madison and her big Brother Zachary the Storm Trooper…. they were at my daughter’s house. My Son took them there to do their trick or treating… Oh look that is my fence they are standing in front off.. Looked like they had a good nite for it… Love the tree colors in the back ground….

AWW look Zachary in full gear… boy look at the size of his bag,,, he must be expecting lot’s of candy…..

And last but Not Least,,, my three little Princess's are they not just the prettiest little girls……  left to right,,, Haylee Mae, Liberty Dawn.. Regan Elizabeth, such huge beautiful smiles on those face’s…. 

We are having some really beautiful days here, lots of color… On a walk one day hubby took some fall photos so I will show them soon.. I hope every one had a Safe and fun Halloween weekend…  I thank you all for your very sweet comments on Lucy Claire… I talk to my Niece Jenny; aka Grandma,, and they are all doing fine,, and feeling so much better from the nasty flu… I hope she is taking lots of photos of her,, she said her looks are changing each day,, which they always do.. Hope the weeks fly by so I can get there to see her and hold her,, oh and take lots and lots of photos to share..lol;   May you all have a lovely week..
