A HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL;

image

Good evening dear friends;  I know I am early but I just want to Wish each and every one of you a Happy Thanksgiving.. We are getting ready to make our trip back home,,, I am so excited to see every one.. this time we have a whole week with them… :)

Even in hard time’s we still have so much to be Thankful for,,, The Unending Love of Our Lord, I am so thankful for that most of all. He has been there so many many times for me and my family,, to give us courage, hope, strength, too guide us back when we tend to leave the path he has laid before us… He has Blessed me with a wonderful and kind loving Man who loves the Lord as much as I do… We have been both Blessed with 4 children,, and as hard as it has been with the loss of our Sweet April Dawn; 8yrs ago.. we were so blessed to have had her in our lives as long as we did, we Praise the Lord for that….   We have two very kind sweet loving, daughter’s and a son,, they have given us sweet grandbabies… 11 of them,,,,,(they can quit now). We are so Thankful for them…

I am so Thankful for my Extended family as well… I have the Best Mother in Law any one could ask for.. She is so willing to lend a hand not matter what it is, she lives for her Children and the Lord,, her strength comes from him, and when you see her you can see it in her face.My Step Father in Law,,, I really don’t think of him like that and neither does Honey Bunny,, any way  Jr. is always there to help any way he can,,, he can fix just about anything,,,he very rarely says no, and will jump when needed.. They are just the best in law’s ever.. I have been missing my Parents very much lately, as well as April,, but I know the Lord is taking great care of them until I can see them again….  I am so very Thankful for You my Dear Friends, who are there for not only me, but for each other,,, even though some of us have not even met, it does not matter,,, for through this blog of mine I feel like I know each of you.. I am so Blessed to have you all in my life in one way or another…. So I thank you all for being my Friend.. as I will always be yours… I  Pray for each of you each day…  I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with you family and friends,,,….  OK now that I have said that,, I want to let you  all know that I did get the Quilt top finished today….. Who knew a 1/2 bottle of Wine and a nerve Pill would do the trick…. hahahahlol;  KIDDING!!! really I am….

Bear Quilt 041 This is it,, just the Top,,, now when I get back home from our short vacation, I will be quilting the layers together…  But I just had to show you that I did get it all fixed…. boy taking apart 48 squares was not fun,,, but I did it…. When I do get it all done I will be showing you all the steps of making this cute little bear quilt… Sorry if this is long,,,  Have a great night…

God Bless you all;

Hugs;

Alaura

What a glorious way to spend Thanksgiving...surrounded by family.

The quilt top came out so adorable. What a generous labor of love that will be greatly appreciated when it's completed.

Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!

Sweet wishes,
Sara

Alaura, I am so touched by your post...you are precious, and your love of God and family shines through your words. You have been blessed with a large family...I'm sorry about April...just thinking of that because my daughter is also April, makes my heart hurt for you, but you are right, she and your parents are in glory, not missing this earthly existence for a second!

Your bear quilt is beautiful...I love the irish chain..I've made 4 of them...its such a versatile pattern. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product. I always love finishing the tops, but the sandwich and the quilting are another story! Yet, there's nothing like a completed quilt...otherwise, its just a piece of pretty cloth!

I pray that your trip is safe and filled with joy, and that you come home refreshed.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mary

What a wonderful post today!! Yes we all have so very much to be thankful for. Since beginning this new ministry with my husband we see so much heartache and lives that have no hope, no love, no joy---so thankful for God's hand upon my life- I don't deserve it and never will but live to share that hope with others!
