I SURVIVED MY GRANDKID'S

Good morning; yes I am a survivor of the weekend with my grandkids.  But they did ware me out just two little girls with unending  energy. They were like  Tornados if I could bottle it I would solve the energy problem. ha ha ha   Wow we.....   I did have fun with them, they have a vivid imagination's playing house and imaginary  friends. Liberty is so good at that, that you would really think she was talking to someone, some times it is kind of scary..... lol   She can use a play cell phone and talk like someone it on the other end. I really enjoy watching them play and just to listen to them, what a shame we all grow out of that. Think of how different the World we be if  we did not loose that, such trust unconditional Love and most of the time getting along with every one.  Ahhhhhhhhh  child hood  I miss that.

Well by now you should have all gotten my Christmas Cards, at least I hope so. I was so hopping to have the bed Shams done by the end of the weekend, but when I got to the ruffle and trim part, I did not have enough, hmmmmm not sure but I think I have already posted about it,,,,,  sorry... :}   And with the two tornados running around I did not get to work on them.   But Hubby and I did get most of our Christmas Shopping list done, now we are doing well with that. This is the first year that this has happened, I should mark my calendar....  So next year I am starting on it in January, I love to try to make my gifts to others, and I really should start then. So we will see if I can keep it up. Now I may need a reminder or two,,, or three  to keep on track.

Today is a very cold and windy day so I am staying in, last night it was so windy that one of my oil lamps blew off the fire place mantle on my patio, only the chimney broke which was really good. I forgot to bring them in.. silly me...   That is about all for my weekend, sorry it is not very interesting reading, tomorrow I am going to show off  my Vintage Christmas Swap box of  goodies, from my partner, she really out done herself. I can't wait to show you all.  I have so enjoyed being in the two swaps they were so much fun putting them together. So ladies until tomorrow,,,, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and will have a lovely week...    Thank you all so much for the lovely comments and taking time to visit, please keep stopping by it really makes my day.  I know how hard it is to keep up, I have so so many blogs to visit, but I do try to visit each and every one of you.......  my dear friends you are all so important to me..... God Bless;

Hugs;

Alaura

I always say the same thing as you. Next year I'll be ready sooner because I am starting in January. I'll remind you if you remind me LOL!

I got to spend last night with my granddaughter. Is there a prettier word than grandchildren? Well, may be children. Debbie

I was going to make gifts for this year even got the fabric I needed. Did I make them? Nope! So I can try it again for next year. So between you, Dawn and I we can try to cheer each other on and get these gifts done way early. Right?!!?

Ya had me mentally laughing, chickee. I told my kids I don't "do babysitting" but will watch them on my own time. It's worked well!! LOL I spoil 'em, they make 'em mind! ;-)

Hi Alaura,

I haven't been by in a while so I wanted to stop by and say hi.

I bet you were busy with the two granddaughters. Sounds like you are doing great with your Christmas shopping....I have got to get myself in gear!

Alaura,
your post made me smile. When we visit my mom, she says it takes a bit to get used to the extra commotion and energy of younguns (I have 5 kids)...but when we leave it takes a bit to get used to the restored tranquility in her home. She always says, "it's too quiet!" when I call to let her know we made it home!

So glad you enjoyed Diana Moses Botkins work - I loved featuring her "Prince of Peace" on my blog...so perfect for our Christmas celebration reflections.
